Section A (1a-2c) 本课是人教版《新目标》英语八年级上Unit4 What’s the best movie theater? 的第一课时。本单元以Your town为话题,Section A部分从学生熟悉的movie theater出发，引导学生对电影院场所、硬件设施等条件进行分析、比较。通过“discuss preferences”和“make comparisons”来学习形容词和副词的最高级。1a-1c通过图文及听力活动创设真实谈论电影院各项特点的语境，2a-2b部分以听力练习教材分析

Analysis of 的形式对单元重点话题和句型进行了拓展，对描述性词汇也进行了扩初，并出现了新话题：最好的服装teaching material

店和最好的电台。2c要求学生以访谈对话的形式复习听力材料的内容，需要学生通过操练掌握相关句型和内容。2d在原来的话题基础上设置了更为真实的情境：为新来的邻居介绍周围生活服务场所，学生在角色扮演的要求之外，还有自由新编对话和发挥的空间。

在上一单元，学生对形容词和副词的比较级已经有了一定的认识，已了解了形容词和副词在原级变比较级时主要的三类变形规则，即以-er结尾、加more及不规则变形。学生需要在此基础上学会正确运用形容词和副词的最高级来描述事物，进行喜好讨论。由于描述性词汇增加，学生的学习难点会出现在相关词汇和句型的使用以及最高级的运用。
