Unit 9 Can you come to my party? Section B 1 (1a-1f) 一、教学目标： 1. 语言知识目标：

1) 能掌握以下单词：the day before yesterday, the day after tomorrow, weekday, look after, invitation, reply, forward, delete, print, sad, goodbye, take a trip, glad, preparation, glue, without, surprised, look forward to

2) 能掌握以下句型：

— Can you play tennis with me? — Sorry, I can’t. I … ③

I look forward to hearing from you all.

④ Bring Ms. Steen to the party without telling her so that she can be surprised. 3) 能综合运用can来表达邀请。

4）通过阅读邀请函来掌握必要的信息。

学会人际交往的基本常识，学会有礼貌地邀请别人以及回答别人的邀请的方式。理解“义务”涵义，学会承担自己应尽的义务，能够在班级以及社会生活中担当一定的责任。理解人与人之间的真情，学会珍惜朋友之间、师生之间的友情。

三、教学步骤

I. Revision 1. 复习上节课所学短语。

2. 复习表达请求与应答请求。 教学意图：巩固上个课时所学的内容，逐渐溶入到本课时的教学过程中。

II. New words

the day before yesterday, the day after tomorrow, weekday, look after 复习一些常用的委婉地表达拒绝的方式。 教学意图：基于学生的基础差，接受能力较低的原因，这么做可以让学生做好一个学习前的准备，并且反复的复习可以加强学生的记忆。

III. Warming up 1. Show a calendar to the Ss, then let them answer some questions. T: What day is today/tomorrow/the day after tomorrow?

S: It’s Tuesday/Wednesday/Thursday.

2. T: What was/is the date yesterday/the day before yesterday/ today/tomorrow/the day after tomorrow?

S: 13th/14th/15th…. Let the students ask these questions one by one. 教学意图：利用日历让学生对今天、明天、后天、昨天、前天有一个直观印象。复习关于星期及日期的句型，有助于下一个环节的学习。

IV. Work on 1a and 1b. Write these words below the correct dates on the canlendar in 1a. tomorrow，the day after tomorrow，

yesterday，the day before yesterday, weekday,weekend 教学意图：把新学习的单词在日历的正确位置进行填空，一方面可以让学生更直观地了解，同时也是对新单词的检测，另一方面，手写一次单词，有助于他们的单词记忆。

V. Work on 1c Ask and answer questions about the days in 1a. A: What’s today?

B: It’s Thursday the 27th.

A: What’s tomorrow?

A: What’s the day after tomorrow? B: It’s …

教学意图：对日期和星期进行对话练习，活学活用，同时复习以前学习的内容。同时，让学生体会到单纯的只问日期和星期，有点麻烦，激发他们新内容的兴趣。

Explanation What’s today?

What’s today?意思是“今天几号，星期几？”。如：

—It’s Saturday the 2nd.

【链接】What’s the day today? / What day is it today?意为“今天星期几？”；What’s the date today? / What date is it today? 意为“今天几月几号？/ 今天几号？”。

VI. Listening Work on 1d: 1. Tell Ss to listen to Vince and Andy’s conversation. Then circle Yes or No.

2. Play the recording for the Ss. Ss just listen for the first time. Play the recording again and circle.

3. Play the recording and check the answers with the Ss.

Work on 1e:

1. Tell Ss they'll listen to the tape again. Then try to match Vince’s activities with the days in 1d.

听力指导: 通过事先读表格中的内容，可以看出，本听力重点要求我们听清每个活动的时间安排，因此我们在听时应重点听句子中的活动及其时间, 并将时间与活动内容相连。

2. Ss listen to the recording carefully and try to match Vince’s activities with the days.

3. Play the recording again and check the answers with the class.

教学意图：1d不难，可以只听一遍，然后引出下一个题目。在1e中仔细听懂每个活动对应的时间，学习新的短语，巩固本课时的知识点。

VII. Pair work Work in pairs. One is Andy and the other is Vince. Andy, invite Vince to play tennis. Ask Ss to practice the conversations in pairs. 教学意图：通过学习了新的关于日期的表达方法和询问方法，把这些所学的内容学以致用，并和之前的提出邀请这一关键性的话题串联起来。所以要求学生

通过游戏的方式做对话，这样可以提高他们的课堂参与性。
