本课选自外研版《新标准英语》（三年级起始）三年级下册Module2 Unit2 That man is short.本单元主要学习运用恰当的形容词描述某人或某物的特征。学习几对反义词：tall-short, big-small, fat-thin.

二、教学目标

1、知识目标

词汇：tall, short, big, small, fat, thin, big and fat 句子：This monkey is small and thin.

2、能力目标

能灵活运用This/That … is tall/ short/ big/ small.

描述某人/物的特征。

3、情感目标

（1. ）培养学生爱护小动物的美好品质。

（2．）通过学习，树立学生学习英语的自信心和团结合作的能力。
