Step 2. 4 Reading and speaking practice

Discuss the towns /cities in China with a partner. Tell the class which town /city you think is the best. To let Ss use the target language to communicate about themselves. 1.

Tell Ss that they are going to work in small groups to select five cities ( in a foreign country) and then decide which city the class should visit together. 2.

After Ss decide, they should make a presentation to the class explaining their choice and the reasons for their choice (using superlatives). Each group should have five reasons why they chose their city over the others. Step 3. Self-check 1. Fill in the blanks with the superlative forms of the words in the box. To provide a comprehensive review of key vocabulary and functions presented in the unit. The T may want to bring copies of English language newspapers or magazines to class and have groups of Ss compete to find and circle the most superlatives within a fixed time period. Step 4. Reading and writing practice 2 Read the information. Then correct the mistakes in the sentences below.

After Ss have completed the interviews, have them meet again with group members and take turns reporting the results. Step 7.
