Teaching procedures: Step 1

Lead –in Greeting. T:What day is it today? S1:It’s December 25th and It’s Christmas Day.

Then ask.1.Do you want to have a party?

Ss:Yes. 2:Do you want to invite your friends to come to your party? Ss:Yes.

3.How do you make invitations? Then ask a student to make an invitation. Step 2

Presentation Show a calendar to the students.Let the students look at the days of the week at the top of the calendar on the whiteboard.Then point to the numbers showing the dates of the current week and ask different students to read each day’s date to the class.

Step 3

Practice Lead the students to look at the days of the current week and ask:What is the date today?It’s December 25th.What’s today?It’s Thursday the 25th.etc.Then ask the students to make conversations in pairs.Then ask several pairs to act out the conversations for the whole class. Step 4

Listening Today is December 25th.Andy wants to play tennis.So he invites his friend Vince to play tennis with him,Can he play tennis with Andy?Now let’s learn 1d and 1e.First look at the picture and the chart in 1d.Then play the tape for the students to listen and finish the tasks.Then check the answers with the whole class.Then ask them to read after the tape. Practice First ask the students to read the conversation in 1f in pairs.Then ask the students to read the sample conversation in the box .And then ask the students to make the conversations according to 1d and 1f in pairs.Next ask several pairs to act out their conversations for the whole class Step 6

教学反思：

本节课是本单元的第三课时，我设计了1a-1f部分。主要是让学生掌握日期的询问及表达以及巩固本单元的目标语言。总体来说，这节课是成功的，下面就我的教学环节分析一下：

首先我在复习时由询问What day is it today?What is the date today?到学生回答It’s Thursday.It’s December 25th.and It’s Christmas Day.接着由Today is Christmas Day.自然地询问Do you want to have a party for it?到Do you want to invite your friends to come to your party?巩固前面所学的有关发出邀请，接受邀请和拒绝邀请的知识。然后通过出示课件日历，并运用1b中的单词和短语进行What’s today?句型的学习，而What’s today?是一个很重要的知识点，中考往往会考到，所以教学设计应精而简，而此时的缺憾是，没有让更多的学生参与其中。接着，由Today is Christmas Day.Andy doesn’t have classes.He wants to play tennis with his friends.So he invites his friend Vince to do it with him.很自然地过渡到听力部分，并通过生生操练对话形式，再一次巩固本单元的目标语言，并提高他们的听力和口语表达能力。
