学会人际交往的基本常识，学会有礼貌的邀请别人以及礼貌拒绝别人的邀请。

（1）重点：掌握提出邀请的表达方式，并能表演相关的对话，询问时间

（2）难点：掌握询问时间的基本句型。

四、教学过程

Step 1 Warming up (1)

Daily greeting. (2)

Enjoy a happy song about days in a week. Ask students how many days there are

in a week and what they are. Introduce weekdays and weekends. Step 2 Lead-in

Show some pictures and let students play a guessing game: which day was it?

Show students a picture of calendar. Students look at the calendar and they will know today is Tuesday, June11th. Then look at another calendar in 1a. Fill in the blanks and check the answers. Step 3 Presentation. (1)

Invite students to read the words in 1b together. Then students fill these words in the calendar and check the answers. (2)

Group work. Students do the group-work. Students read the conversation in 1c and work in groups to ask days. There is an example. The teacher is Student A. The teacher asks Student A “What’s today?” Student B answers it and asks C “What was yesterday?”

Student C answers it and asks Student D “What’s tomorrow?” D answers it and asks Student A “What’s the day after tomorrow?” Then, students do the group-work. They choose any day of this month as today. Step 4 Listening.

Before listening. Read the pictures. Answer two questions: What’s his name? What is he doing? (2)

Listen and answer the question.

Can Vince play tennis with Andy? Circle Yes or No.

Listen again. Match Vince’s activities with the days in 1d. After listening, I let students know that Vince is really busy these days. Step 5 Group work. I ask students “Are you busy? Is your teacher Miss Hu busy?”You are busy, but you still want to have a rest when you are free. Your group wants to invite your teacher Miss Chen to go to the movies this week. See her schedule and make a date. Students role play and make a short conversation. We still need a group in four. Student A is Miss Chen. Student B needs to find out who can go to the movies with him or her in the group. I’ll give the example.

A: Hi, Miss XX. There are a few new movies.

Can you go to the movies with me? B: When? A: Today? B: Sorry, I can’t. I …

A: What about you, Tom? C: I’m afraid not, I have to…

Step 6 Summary and homework.

In this class, students need to know “When
