一、Teaching contents: 本课选自《新标准英语》三年级起始三年级下册Module2 Unit2 That man is short. 本单元主要学习运用恰当的形容词描述某人或某物的特征。学习几对反义词:tall—short, fat—thin. 二、Teaching aims and demands: 1.

Knowledge aims: A: Can listen, speak, read and write new words: tall, short, big, small, fat, thin, big and fat, small and thin. B: Can listen, speak, read and write key sentences:

This elephant is small and thin. That elephant is big and fat. This man is tall. That man is short. 2.

Ability aims: Can use key structures: This/ That … is small/thin/big/fat/tall. /short. 描述某人/某物的特征。

Emotional aims: A: 培养学生爱护小动物的美好品质。

B: 通过学习,树立学生学习英语的自信心和团结合作能力。

三、Teaching important and difficult points:

A: Can learn and master new words: tall, short, big, small, fat, thin, big and fat, small and thin. B: Can master key structures: This/ That … is small/thin/big/fat/tall /short. C: Can learn the opposite words: big, small, fat, thin, tall, short. D: Can describe someone/something’s characters.

Zeng Zhi wei is short.【学生跟读】

【Teacher drives a car to go there. 】

T: Look! I’m here. If I am near Yao Ming. We can use‘This’【用擦除功能,擦出英文及汉语再教读】并板书。

If I am far away from Zeng Zhiwei. We can use ‘that’.

T: Today we’ll learn Module2 Unit2 That man is short. 【学生跟读】

‘that’ means: Something is far away from you or something is far away from something . So we can use ‘that’.

Question: How to use ‘this’? 【叫学生回答】并奖励

2. New lesson Activity 1: T: Look! He is … (师生:Pan Chang jiang). He is a man.

T: It magic time. Wow! He is tall. So,

First:Let’s watch the video and learn some new words. ① tall A: follow me to read for twice. B: high and low voice to practice this word. C: Spell it together. D: write it on the blackboard.

②Use the same method to learn‘short ,fat, thin.’

Step4: Practice 1.

Then, let’s check the answer. 3. Listen, filling, read and write. First: Listen and filling the blankets. Let them read together. Second: Listen and repeat the text. Third: Call four groups to perform the text. Fourth: Work in four to finish and write the opposite words. Then, let’s check the answer.

Let’s watch the video, catch the thieves and describe them.

A: Watch, find the thieves and stick them in the right place.
