Step 1 Greetings Greet the students as usual. Step 2 Presentation Show the picture of a local movie theatre and say something about it: comfortable seats, big screens, best sound, cheap, new movies, close to home, buy tickets quickly, popular… Help the students to learn the words. Step 3 Discussion

Ask: How do you choose which movie theater to go to? Write the things in the box under “Important” or “Unimportant”. Students discuss with their partners and write the words in the box in the chart. Then ask some students to report their answers. Step 4 Listening

Ask students to read the sentences in the chart. Make sure they know the meaning of the

3a部分对有的学生可能难度较大，所以在让学生练习之前，教给学生应通读全句，掌握短文大意；然后，根据句意及句子中有没有表示范围的词组，来确定空格处的形容词或副

词是用何级别形式。比如，在第一题中，句末有表示范围的词组in town，可知空格处应填bad的最高级形式，故应填worst。其他类似。然后学生们按老师指导的方法进行阅读，并逐句推敲每空应填什么词，在实际的运用提高自己的阅读能力、分析能力及综合运用能力。

本节课的教学内容较多，所以针对不同的内容设计了不同的任务活动。通过课堂的试验，证实了这些任务的可行性，并达到很好的效果。

本节课的不足之处，由于在小组活动的环节上学生的自主性强，这样胆子大的、英语好的学生就表现突出，获得的锻炼就相对多；对于英语表达能力差的学生，老师照顾不够，得到的锻炼相对少。所以在以后的教学中还应不断探索，寻求更大的突破。
