Teaching steps: 1. Warm-up

1. 由于数词多，且是这两个单元的重点，所以要通过各种方式反复强化。

2. 复习月份的拼写。

(3) Self check, Complete the chart with the correct forms of the numbers. 3.

(1) Read the text in 2b.

Discussion (1) Work on 2c. Discuss the questions in 2c in pairs. Ask some pairs to ask and answer the questions in front of the class.

6. Game. 7. 补充中国的一些重要节日和西方的一些重要节日。

8. Writing. (1) Work on 3a. Complete the note with the words in the box. Learn the word “there”. (2) Ask some questions about the note in 3a. Who is Guo Peng writing to? Do you think Guo Peng likes basketball? What activity does Guo Peng have in his school? When is the activity? (3) Work on 3b. Ask the Ss to write their own note to a friend.

Ask some of the Ss to write their notes on 3. 进一步学习2b的课文，侧重语言知识的讲解和练习。

4. 讨论2c 的问题为后面写作做准备。有了口头讨论做铺垫，其后的写作才能轻松完成。

5. 游戏是巩固日期的正确表达，以及检验学生的发音。补充节日是中西文化的对比。

6. 3a的便条是3b写作的模板。所以除了完成填空外，教师要引导学生看明白便条内容。而3b的四个问题的答案就是便条的内容提要，对于一部分学生来说，教师需要引导他们弄懂其中关联。
