Lesson 7 Arriving in Beijing

教学目标：

1.学生能听懂、会说、认读并书写下列词汇：men, women, child, children, many, people.

2.学生能认读，理解并运用下列基本句型结构：

They are on their way to________.

There are many_________. 3.使学生能练习写说、写相关名词的复数形式的句子。

教学重点：使学生掌握单词：men, women, children, people, many.

教学难点：

学生能够正确运用句子：This is a ___. These are ___. They are on their way to________.

There are many_________.

教具准备：

课件，卡片。

教学过程：

一、

Class opening and review

活动方式：动作展示。教师用英语说出各种表示动作的词，学生做动作表示出来。

（通过做动作唱歌活跃课堂气氛，激发学生学习热情，巩固前面所学的表示动作的词汇和句式，为进一步学习做铺垫。）

二、Leading in 向学生展示图片，并请学生介绍。

Show the pictures of “Tian’anmen Square”, “the Palace Museum”and “the Great Wall”. T: Where are they? Ss: They are in Beijing. T: Yes, today we are going

on a trip to Beijing.

（通过一些关于北京名胜古迹的图片导入课题，让学生在轻松愉悦的氛围中进入新课）

三、New concepts

1.借助图片并出示卡片学习新单词men, women, children, people and many.及介绍单数句子与复数，注意is，are 的用法。

This is a man.

These are men. This is a woman.

These are women. This is a boy and a girl.

A boy is a child.

A girl is a child, too. Boys and girls are children. Men, women, and children are people.

2.出示图片用所学的单词补全句子。

（巩固所学单词并进入课文）

3. Listen to the tape and answer the follow questions: a. When do they arrive in Beijing? b. What do they see on their way to the hotel? 四、Consolidation and extension 1、Show a picture and talk about it in group and then ask some students to tell us. (在练习中要正确使用现在进行时)

2、用括号中所给动词的现在分词填空。
