Lesson 17 Beijing Is Great!

教学内容：冀教版学英语第五册第三单元第17课

教学目标：1、能够听、说、读、写下列单词：Beijing trip hotel

2、能够就提供的图片对北京进行描述。

3、通过短文练习，培养学生的阅读能力。

4、通过本课的学习，培养学生的爱国之情。

教学重点：Beijing trip hotel 教学难点：能够就提供的图片进行准确地描述。

教具准备：audiotape pictures 教学过程：

Step 1、Warming up T: Hello, boys and girls. Ss: Hello, Miss Wu. T:Today we will talk about something new. Before this, let’s play a guessing game. It’s about me. What do I like to do?

The students guess about the teacher. S1: Do you like to fly kites? T: No. My son likes to fly kites.

S2: Do you like to play ping-pong? T:No, I don’t.

T:What do I like to do? I like to go on trips. Introduce “go on trips”

(设计意图：通过Where do you want to go? 这个问题进行展开，给学生一个谈论的话题。在此之前已经学习了几个国家的风土人情，为本话题的谈论提供了语言材料。可以达到较连贯表达的目的,同时将所学的内容进行复习巩固。) T: I want to go to the capital city of our country. Where? Ss: Beijing. T: Do you know why? S1: Beijing is the capital city of China. S2: It has Tian’anmen Square and the Palace Museum.

T: Beijing is a big city. It has Tian’anmen Square and the Palace Museum. What else does it have? Let’s look at the pictures.(Show some pictures about Beijing .) Ss: Look at the pictuers and say some sentences.

Museum is very old. It is about five hundred years old. It’s very beautiful, too. Many foreigners（外国人）come to the Palace Museum. It is famous. Beijing is great.
