Section B 3a-3c(Writing) Part 1. The analysis of the teaching material (教材分析)

1. The analysis of the textbook

本课选取的是新目标（八年级上册）Unit 4

Section B 3a-3c。这部分是读写综合的内容，通过学习对Greenwood Park 的描写从而进行写作训练。本单元主要学习形容词、副词的最高级，而本课时主要让学生用形容词，副词的最高级来表达总结熟悉的事物，并说明原因，反馈学生对所学知识的综合运用。

2. Teaching key points and difficulties

教学重点：能运用所学的形容词或副词的最高级的用法，简单地表达出来，并根据提示来完成选词填空的任务。

能运用所学的形容词或副词的最高级的用法来描写自己周围的一些地点和事并阐述原因。

教学难点：最高级在段落写作中的运用，以及写作过程中文章的条理性，包括开头和完美的结尾。

3. Teaching aims and demands

1) 熟练运用形容词和副词的最高级。

2) 正确使用过渡词和连接语

3)学会修改文章，找出不足。

2）. Ability objects.

1) 能够综合运用所掌握的知识来描述周围的地点及事物的特点。

2) 在词、句、篇的训练过程中，学生学会用最高级来表达事物或地方并阐述原因。

在选择、比较的过程中，培养学生对事物的高度认识。文中的选材贴近学生的日常生活，容易激发学生的学习兴趣。

Part 2 .The analysis of the students(学情分析) 学生之前已经有最高级知识的铺垫，现在是更深层次的连词成句，连句成篇，需要引导学生已经如何分配文章结构，写好开头跟结尾。部分学生在语言表达上还存在一定的语病，需要通过大量的语言输入做铺垫，大部分学生对如何使用高级词汇有一定的困难，

Part 3. The teaching methods 针对学生在写作上的薄弱部分，充分利用学生自身的有利条件。通过前面课时的学习和本课时的教学中出现的游戏，图片，小组活动，阅读材料，思维导图等各种形式的学习，学习运用形容词和副词最高级的表达，通过语言的大量输入完成语言输出，也是为下面的写作做好充分的铺垫。在字，词句，篇的步步铺垫过程中，语言从输入再输出，一环紧扣一环，充分使学生学会应用最高级。在各环节的难度设计上采用梯度，尽量考虑到让不同程度的学生都能参与课堂，学有所获。

Part 4 . Teaching procedures.

Step 1. Lead-in

Guessing game 1 After greeting, start the guessing game. (Who is he？) 1.Ask Ss to guess who he is by giving some information. (Yao Ming) 2.Tell Ss that Yao Ming wants to go somewhere on vacation this summer.

Guessing game 2 Tell Ss this the place where Yao Ming want to go , ask the Ss to guess by giving some other information.

(This place is Ss’ hometown) 设计意图：通过所给信息猜测学生熟悉的明星，既复习本课所需的最高级，也能放松心情，再通过姚明要去某地度假引出对度假地的猜测，自然过渡到下一环节的话题谈论。

Step 2. Talk about our homework 1.

Show Ss the good places in our hometown. Show Ss some pictures of the good places and

the introduction of them. Then ask Ss to write down what they see and hear. 2.

Say something about your hometown. Ask Ss to make sentences according to what they see and hear.

Add more information . Ask the Ss to add more information about our homework like the following. The best park in our hometown is Ludao park because it’s the biggest and the most beautiful. .

The most famous mountain in ourhometown is Shibi mountain because it has the freshest air and you can enjoy the whole town from the top. …

Groupwork. Can you say more good places in our hometown.

设计意图：利用学生自己熟悉的生活环境作为讨论话题，更贴近生活,既激发学生的学习热情和主动性，让学生有话可说乐说。谈论环节由简到繁，从简单运用最高级到更多信息的铺垫逐层递进为下面的写作打下坚实的基础。

Step 3. Show composition example of 3a 1.

Fill in the blanks in 3a. Fisrt, ask the Ss to change the words into superlative forms. Then, fill in the blanks . Check the answers and read the passage together. 2.

Analyse the structure of the passge.

Point out the beginning , the middle and the ending. And then find out the linking words.

设计意图：以读促写，即是短文填词的练习，又可作为作文范文分析文章基本结构，为下文指导学生写作做铺垫。

Step 3:

Writing task

1.

Present the writing task

Write a letter to Yao Ming to introduce your hometown . 写一篇80词以上的短文向姚明展现家乡的美并邀请他前来游玩。

注意:主要运用最高级进行描述。

内容包括：

1.介绍你的家乡是一个怎样的地方。

2.请列出家乡三个最好的地方,并阐明原因。

3.表达对家乡的感受并邀请他前来游玩。

2.Give detailed writing instruction First. Beginning Give the topic sentence and conclude the structure. Then . Middle a. Tell Ss when you introduce your hometown, you can come up with the best things/places in your hometown, e.g. the longest river, the biggest park. b. Give detailed instruction of how to write this part. Give some words and phrases and ask the Ss to make sentences. C . Tell Ss how to make the details better by using various kinds of expressions and suitable linking words. Third. Ending

Give the ending sentence and conclude that an ending could be your feelings or advice about the

hometown. And give them relative examples.

3．Writing practice Ask Ss to write the letter on the writing paper quickly.

设计意图：这是本节课的核心部分，把本节课的核心任务-写作呈现出来，让学生带着目标去学习写作。再通过各个环节的详细指导使学生更深刻地了解作文中的写作内容和写作技巧，夯实中下层学生的基础为写作困难生扫清障碍，同时引导上层学生多用高级词汇及复合句以及适当的连接词争取高分。

Step 4: After writing

Ask the Ss to polish their partner ’s writing and give a mark. Give Ss the standards of grading. 2.

Show excellent writing . 设计意图：通过互评作品，找出对方的优缺点并加以改正，达到相互提高的目的。同时也能帮助了解到自己平时的写作需要注意哪些细节。同时选一篇美文共赏，吸取别人的精华

Step 5: Summary

Conclude the necessary parts of writing by giving summary mind-map. Step 6: Homework

Correct your writing and make it better . Then hand it in.

设计意图：课外作业是课堂教学的延续通过本节课的学习要求学生将所学展现与作文之中，将其进行修改润饰使文章再提一个档次。

本节课的设计理念，主要想突破学生的写作难关，对于部分学生而言写作就是英语中的一大难题，通过大量的语言输入，帮助学生定下基调理清写作思路及结构，为学生扫清障碍克服为难心理。同时采用逐层递进的写作指导以及最后环节互批互改的能力提升，使不同层次的学生都学有所得。
