Unit 3 I’m more outgoing than my sister. 【教材分析】

本单元是以运用“比较级谈论朋友”为话题，重点学习运用比较级来谈论朋友的外貌、性格以及日常生活习惯。具体到书面表达中，要求同学们会根据题意来描写人物之间的相同点和不同点，写不同点时就要运用到比较级句型。

【学情分析】

本节课面向八年级学生，学生学习热情高，自信心强。经过几年的学习，学生已经具备较好的语言基础，有一定的词汇量和语法知识，能够进行基础的写作。面临的主要问题是部分学生一见到英语写作就产生恐慌心理，特别是当看到有些情境难以用英语表达出来时。再次，学生认为书面表达构思简单，只要没有语言、语法错误再加上几个“漂亮”的句子就能拿高分。其次，一些学生不知道写作的主旨意图，以为写作就是要完成教师布置的任务。

很多学生基本功很差，学习比较懒散，不愿积累。

【教学目标】

（1）学生能通过听、说、读的训练，最终达到提升写的能力。

（2）学会把be different from, the same as,以及比较级词运用到写作之中。

（3）培养学生对英文的兴趣、与同学之间互助合作的习惯。

（4）改变传统的写作教学，通过引导学生积极主动地投入到语言的实践中去，包括听、说、读、的实践来最终提高写作的能力。

【教学重难点】

（1）指导训练学生写作的能力。

（2）引导学生将听和读到的信息，结合自己的想法最终以文章的形式记录下来。

【教学过程】

阅读下面的短文，完成相关的任务。 My favorite saying is, “Friends are God's way of taking care of us.” It makes me think of my best friend Linda. We have known each other since we were in primary school. In some ways, we look similar, and in some ways, we look different. Both of us have black eyes and long black hair, but she is a little taller than me. I'm quiet and serious, so it's not easy for me to make friends and get on with other kids. However, Linda is not as quiet as me. She is outgoing. She is so talented

in telling jokes that she always makes me laugh. It's so lucky to have a friend like her. As for study, both of us are hard­working and like to learn everything new. We enjoy studying together. But Linda is better at study and gets better grades than me. She always tries her best to help me as long as I have problems. With her help, I have made great progress in my lessons. I'm very thankful for all that she has done for me. I think I should learn from her and try to help others just like her. In our free time, we often talk about and share everything. In fact, I think I'm a good listener and always there to listen. Though Linda is quite different from me, I don't really care if my friends are the same as me or different. I really understand that a life without friendship is like a day without sunshine. Linda is my true friend who reaches for my hand and touches my heart.
