Teaching aims: Knowledge aims: 1. Master the following words and phrases:

2. Master the following sentences structures:

--What’s today? --It’s Tuesday the 10th.

-- What’s tomorrow? --It’s Wedn esday the 11th.

--What was yesterday? --It was Monday the 9th.

Ability aims: 1. Talk about date, make, accept and decline invitations and give reasons by using correct sentence structures .

2. Improve their listening abilities by catching some key words.

3. Develop their abilities of working in pairs and communication by learning useful structures. Teaching important and difficult points: Master the key words, phrases and sentence structure s well. Emotional aims:

Teaching procedure Step 1：Warming-up and lead-in 1. Greeting and lead in 2. A memory game. 设计意图：由问题“What are you going to do this weekend?”引入，根据图片说出相应词组，并简单练习对话。让学生对预习的知识点有所总结。Game环节的设计，根据闪现的图片说出相应的拒绝邀请的理由，一是为了活跃气氛，提高学生的注意力；二是让学生对接下来的Challenge有一个热身的过程。

Step 2: Pair work

Challenge: Choose a number and make a conversation with your parter

according to some clues. 设计意图：该活动是对Section A 语法部分的总结与归纳。通过前面的热身与引入，学生能很自然轻松地参与该环节的对话练习。活动之后，巧妙地将如何答应

与有礼貌地拒绝别人总结起来。

Step 3：Listening

Different people like to invite their friends to do different things.

设计意图：为了让学生通过听细节来找答案，该活动中，特地的加入了一个根据图片预测的环节，让学生在听的过程中，带着疑问去听，起到事半功倍的效果。为了更好地训练学生的信息整合能力，在听后并完成联系后还设计了一个信息填空题，让学生能顺利地完成由知识输入到输出的过程。

Step 4: Presentation 1. Enjoy a song and ask Ss : How

many days are there in a week? What are they? 2. Review the dates one by one.( Work on 1a and 1b.) 3. Review the cardinal number and ordinal number. 设计意图：通过歌曲复习关于星期的单词，并能再次调高学生的学习热情。由“Week”引出“weekday”和“weekend”, 并由此复习如何询问星期几，询问今天的日期，最后引出我们的目标句型“What’s today?”。在该环节中，也加入了复习基数词与序数词互换的活动，通过group work，让学生更好地牢记它们的读法与写法。
