Unit 9 Can you come to my party? Section B 1a-1f Analysis of teaching 本课是本单元Section B（1a-1f）第一课时的内容,是学习对于前天、后天等，这样远一些的时间概念的叙述，同时礼貌的发出邀请并进行拒绝回复，适当的讨论自己已有的计划或安排。Analysis of students课程内容并不是太复杂，学生同时在Section A已经有所接受过这样的学习，能较完整的进行对话练习。本节课要求学生学习如何对日期进行提问，并能正确回答，采取了对话表演的形式，让学生在语言环境中运用语言，感受到英语学习的乐趣。

Teaching Aims Knowledge Objects 1.

Students will be able to master the following words and phrases:calendar,weekday,the day after tomorrow,the day before yesterday, 2.

Students will be able to master the following sentences structures:--What’s today?--It’s Friday the 16th.--What’s the day after tomorrow?--It’s Sunday the 18th.--What was the day before yesterday?--It was Wednesday the 14th. 3.

Students will be able to talk about the plans on the calendar. Ability Objects 1.

Students can use correct sentence structures to talk about date,make,accept and refuse invitations and give reasons. 2.

Students can improve their listening abilities by catching some key words. 3.

Students can develop their abilities of working in pairs and communication by learning useful structures. Emotional Objects

Students will be able to be polite to others when they turn down their invitations. Teaching Key Points

Students can use proper sentences to make,accept and refuse invitations and give reasons correctly and fluently. Teaching Procedures:

Step 1 Greeting Greet the class. Step 2 Presentation. Show a vedio of canlender song on the screen,after ss enjoy it,teach word canlender.help ss to say the months of a year by showing a twelve months picture.then help ss to say the dates of a certain month by showing a the month. T:what is the song about, Ss:It’s.about canlender... T:can you tell me months of a year?(the months of picture is being showed on screen by T) Ss:Tannuary February March... T:How can you say these dates in English?

Ss :the first,the second,the third,the fourth... T:What’s today?Help the students to answer It’s.... Then help ss to prctice it in pairs. （设计意图：首先利用日历图片教学生词calendar，复习月份单词和日期单词。然后用日历复习原来学过的句型：What’s the date today?What day is it today?进而导入本节课要学习的句型What’s today?然后利用真实的日历教授询问前天、后天等，这样远一些的时间概念的叙述日期句型，这样可以让学生更加直观的了解。）

Have a discussion.Ask the students to discuss how to ask the date,how to ask the day of the week,how to ask the date and the day of the week.（设计意图：让学生通过合作交流方式，培养他们的合作精神，同时也帮助学困生学习，使他们共同进步。）

Ask the students to read and understand the following words and phrases:today,tomorrow,yesterday,weekday,weekend,the day before yesterday,the day after tomorrow,look after.（设计意图：通过本活动，一方面对新单词学习的一种检测；

mean ?What does “after “mean,then the day before yesterday means...,the day after tomorrow means.. Step 3 Work on 1a and 1b. 1.

Finish 1a.Ask the students to write the dates in the calendar,and then check the answers. 2.

Finish 1b.Ask the students to read the words aloud first,then have them write the words in 1b below the correct dates on the calendar in 1a.（设计意图：通过实际时间的填写，增强语言的真实性，把新学习的单词在日历的正确位置进行填空，可以让学生更加直观的了解，同时也是对新单词学习的一种检测。）
