利用教学图片、日历、听力和问答式的口语交际活动展开教学。

引导学生在五一假期外出游玩时要懂得保护和照顾自己。

三、教学重难点

四、教学过程

Step 1: Warming up Review the sentence structure “What day is it today?”, and ask some students to spell the words from Monday to Friday. Step 2: Presentation

Activity1: Ask a student to tell the difference between “day” and “date”. Activity 2: Teach the sentence structure: “What’s the date today?” and its answer: “ It is +月份+日期”. Step 3：Teach new words. Activity1: Read the words in 1b together. Activity 2: Teach the new words.( the day before yesterday; the day after tomorrow; weekday; look after) Step 4: Finish the calendar in 1a Lead the students to finish the calendar according to the date and the words in 1b. Check the answers.. Step 5: Pair work

Activity1: Show the new sentence structure: What’s today? , and its answer: It’s +星期+日期. Activity2: Use the sentence structure, make sentences with partner.

What’s today/ yesterday/ the day before yesterday/ tomorrow/ the day after tomorrow?

Step 6: Exercises Show some exercises on the screen, and ask the students to finish them. Step 7: Listening task（1d&1e）

Activity1: Introduce the listening task to the students.. Activity2: Listen to the tape, finish 1d. Activity3: Read the phrases first, then listen to the tape twice, finish 1e.

Activity4: Ask a student to show his/ her answer. Activity5: Turn to Page 104, and ask the students to read the listening material. (boys: Andy; girls: Vince). Step 8: Pair work (1f)

Activity1: Review the sentence structure about invitation. Activity2: Make sentences to invite your partner according to the listening material. Step 9: Emotional education

Show them a calendar. T: What is the date tomorrow? S: It’s May, the 1st. T: The Labor Day is coming. What’s your plan for your holiday? S: I am going to …./ I would like to invite my friends to …. T: But when you enjoy your holiday you should learn to protect and look after yourself.

Homework: Write down your plans for your holiday. ( include the dates )
