教学过程

Step 1.Warm-up

1.教师出示自己CCTV希望之星英语演讲比赛的获奖证书和学生分享这一喜讯,并告诉学生自己接受了学校电视台小记者的采访。

Hello ,boys and girls. Today I have good news to share with you. I won the first prize in the competition. A week ago I gave an interview to our school TV station. Do you want to know what we talked about? Ok, Let’s read the newspaper.

学生对于身边的人发生的新闻是最感兴趣的,教师利用自己英语演讲比赛获奖这一消息,引出教师学习英语方式的话题,为新课学习做好铺垫。

2.PPT呈现采访文字稿。

-Hello, Miss Zhang. Congratulations.

-Thank you.

-We heard that you won the competition. May I ask you some questions?

-Sure.

-When did you begin to learn English?

-I began to learn English thirty years ago.

-Wow, how long! And did you learn English in your primary school?

-Well. My English teacher taught in some interesting ways, so I was very interested in English lessons. My teacher usually let us do things by ourselves.

But when we met some difficulties, she helped us. We never did interesting tasks, but we often used words to make sentences. After school I often listened to the radio and read newspapers. Sometimes I talked with my friends in English.

-Did you have a good time in your primary school?

-Yes, we enjoyed ourselves. And I think I did a good job in my primary school. 教师在专访中尽力运用所学旧知,如I began to learn …,be interested in, sing English songs, play guessing games, do tasks, words, sentences, 唤醒学生对所学知识的记忆,并在旧知中适量导入新知,如频度副词的渗透,及by oneself 和 use…to do…用法的渗透。

3.Answer the questions.

Step 2.Presentation

1.T:The school TV reporter interviewed Li Yan, too. Do you want to know how Li Yan learned English? Open your books, read the text by yourselves.

2.Read the text again. Then work in groups. Solve the problems together.

a. When did Li Yan begin to learn English?

b. Was she interested in English lessons? Why?

c. How did she learn English?

Step 3. Practice

1. Watch the video again and read after it.

2. Read the text in pairs.

Step 4. Language use

T:Work in groups. Let’s do a survey. Then fill in the form. You can write or you can also draw pictures. Find the difference and talk about it.

Like this:Li Yan often chanted and played games.

And we often chanted and played games, too. Or, Li Yan did interesting tasks.

But we seldom did interesting tasks.
