Mid-Autumn Day

A special day in China is the Mid-Autumn Day. It is a traditional ine

Chinese festival. It’s celebrated on the 15th day of the 8th

lunar month(农历). It is a time for families and loved ones to get together to enjoy the full moon. At this time, people also remember the some

story of Chang’e who was Hou Yi’s beautiful wife. After Chang’e flew up to the moon, Hou Yi laid out her favorite fruits and deserts every useful

evening and hoped Chang’e could come back. After this, people started senten

to have a dinner with families to celebrate it. The main dish of this dinner is almost always mooncakes and some fruits.

Making mooncakes First, mix together flour, egg, oil, sugar and water to make dough.
