一.教材分析

本课教学内容选自人民教育出版社新目标英语Go for it! 八年级下册第八单元第二课时，是一节阅读课。主要围绕培养学生阅读技能这一主题展开各种教学活动，本课时旨在创造一个轻松、愉快、真实的学习、交流环境，通过习得阅读方法和语言输出最后能够小组合作复述课文的活动来培养学生综合运用语言的能力。

二.教学目标

1.语言能力目标

学生在图片及语境中能够学习掌握下列单词及表达：ship, tool, gun, mark, sand, towards, land, fiction, technology, French 2.学习能力目标

学生能够运用Predict,Skim, Scan 等阅读策略来获取文章信息。

3.文化品格目标：

通过完成阅读，学生能够感受到Robinson Crusoe的勇敢，乐于助人，并能够激励学生不轻言放弃，坚持就是胜利。

三.教学重难点

教学重点：阅读策略的掌握。运用Predict,Skim, Scan 等阅读策略来获取文章信息。

教学难点：根据阅读所学相关知识解决3b和3c,最后复述课文。
