教材分析:本节课内容为《义务教育教科书—小学英语》(北京出版社)五年级下册Unit5 Who’s that baby boy? Lesson15。本单元主要围绕谈论自己或他人的家庭情况进行内容展开。本节课的对话教学是本单元的第一课时。本节课讲述的主要内容是Yangyang到Sara家做客,看到Sara家的墙上有许多的照片,Yangyang问起照片中的人物,Sara介绍了她的表哥Tom及Tom的一家。并涉及了用比较级表达年龄的内容,该知识内容也是本节课重点学习部分。
学生分析:学生在以前的学习中曾经接触过家庭成员的话题,这个话题对于学生来说非常熟悉,能够与他们的真实情况相结合介绍家庭成员。但本节课涉及了年龄比较级的表达法,这对于学生来说有一点难度,在教学中需要给予学生更多的帮助。在教学过程中,帮助学生复现旧知,尝试将教材中的语言情景与真实的课堂教学相结合,营造轻松愉悦的英语学习氛围。本班学生在英语学习上能够做到主动预习,课上认真听讲,与老师进行互动,但是学生学习英语的情况参差不齐,在口语表达上还要多努力。
教学目标:1、学生能够听说认读单词cousin、son、sister、eighteen、lovely、kids、older than。
2、学生能够朗读对话并理解对话内容,并尝试进行复述。
3、学生能够用“…is …years older than…”的句型就家人的信息进行交流。
4、学生能够对家庭中的人物关系进行系统了解,介绍自己或他人的家人,体验亲情友爱。
教学重点:1、学生能够用“…is …years older than…”的句型就家人的信息进行交流。
2、学生能够朗读理解对话。
3、提高学生的口语表达能力。
教学难点:1、学生能够理解句子He looks much older than you. 2、学生能够运用年龄比较级的句子结构介绍家人情况。
教学准备:教学课件、家人照片、词汇卡、图片等。

教学过程:
一、Warm-up. 1.Greetings. 2.
Enjoy some pictures and find the topic of this lesson. (设计意图:)通过对照片的欣赏,让学生在轻松的氛围下进入课堂,同时也也揭示了本课的主题—Family photos。
二、Lead -in. T: Today we will learn about family photos. These are my family photos. I think you all have family photos. Please show them. T: We all have a big family. Our friend Sara also has a big family.
T: In her family, there are so many photos on the wall. She is introducing the photos to Yangyang.
(设计意图)创设情景,让学生快速的进行入到即将学习的情境中。
三、Presentation. 1. Listen to the whole story.
T: Now let’s watch the video and find: which photos are they talking about? (设计意图)整体听故事,可以让学生对故事有了一个整体的感知,了解即将谈论的相关学习内容,同时也训练了学生在听中找出重点信息的能力。
2. Picture 1.
T: Look at this photo: He is on the horse. Who’s this man on the horse? What’s his name? (Listen to the sentences.) T: His name is Tom. T: Who is Tom? Let’s listen more about him. (Listen: He is the son of Aunt Mary) T: Who is Aunt Mary? (Listen: my mother’s sister) T: What’s the relationship between Sara and Mary? T: What’s the relationship between Sara and Tom? T: We know the meanings of aunt and cousin. Can you find who are Ann’s aunts and cousins?
(学习aunt, cousin这两个词的意思,帮助学生理解、区分词意在中英文中的区别,学习体会不同的文化。并通过Ann’s family tree 找到Ann的aunt、cousin进一步巩固这两个词的含义。)
T: Who is older? Can you guess? T: How does Yangyang think of Tom? (Listen) T: He looks much older than Sara is. T: I have three pictures for you. Which one is Tom? Why? T: Are we right? Please read picture 1 and find which sentence tells the answer. How much older? How many years is Tom older than Sara? T: He is eighteen years older than Sara is. Suppose Sara is
11years old, how old is Tom? T: We can also express the meaning in another way.
Sara is eighteen years younger than he is. (设计意图)通过问答,听说,学习词意的形式学习图1的对话,学生可以了解一些关于Tom的信息,并学习认读单词aunt,cousin,son等词汇,理清Tom与Sara的人物关系;通过问答听的方式帮助学生理解本课难点
He looks much older than you. 知道older than的含义是大。
3. Picture 2.
T: Here is a photo of Tom’s family. Would you like to describe the photo? T: Let’s read and get the information about Tom’s family. Please read carefully and answer the questions. T: Tom has two lovely kids. They are Sally and Jack. Do you know who is Sally? Who is Jack? Why? (设计意图)通过阅读回答问题的形式学习图2,可以锻炼学生提取信息的能力。通过讲解又学习了本课的重难点知识,运用older than的比较级介绍年龄。
四、Consolidation. 1. Listen and repeat the dialogues. 2. Group work. 3. Check reading.
4. About Tom. (设计意图)通过听、读、复述对话内容的方式帮助学生理解对话内容。在小组进行朗读时也锻炼了学生合作的意识,提升小组合作的能力。
五、Extension. 1. Finish the tasks. (设计意图)通过描述图片的年龄比较和听力的学习,巩固学习本课的重难点,并让学生知道理解比较年龄我们要用到older/younger than。
2. Introduce your family photos. (设计意图)通过本课的学习,学生能够用所学到的句子介绍自己的家庭,增进他们对家人的了解,介绍时用上句型… is older than/younger than…巩固本课重点句型。
六、Summary. (设计意图)让学生心存感恩与想念,对家里的每一位亲人都奉献自己的爱。
七、Homework.
1. Let’s do (on p35).
2. Make a family album and introduce your family.
