Lesson 16 How Can We Go to Beijing? 一、教材分析

对于交通工具学生并不陌生，所以对于交通工具的速度也一定很熟悉，所以引出“fast, slow”的概念。

二、学情分析

学生在学习了car ,bus ,taxi ,bicycle 等交通工具后可以很容易的将这些引入课文中的句型里面。

三、教学目标：

知识与技能目标： 听、说、读、写并能口头运用下列词汇：slow, plane, fast, train 过程与方法目标：学会建议使用某种交通工具句型。

情感态度价值观目标：根据实际选择合适交通工具。

教学重难点：

重点：slow, plane, fast, train，from...to... 准备：单词卡片，录音机，PPT 四、教学过程：

Step1 Class Opening and review （1）Class Opening Greeting （2）Review: let’s play a "guessing" game. Here are some beautiful pictures for you . Look here , what’s this? Can you guess? Ss: Car, T: Your father can drive a car.

Ss: bicycle , Ss: taxi,

Ss: bus. Step 2 New Concepts Demonstrate （1）教授plane, fast, train, slow 用卡片演示train和plane。然后教师引导学生进行如下对话：

T：（举着卡片）This is a plane. It is fast. T：plane fast read and spell. 出示幻灯片

（板书）

出示缓慢行进的火车图，This is a train . A train is slow. read and spell. （板书）

(2)Practice

多媒体展示自行车和大卡车，出租车和飞机图片，乌龟和兔子图片让学生对比，运用句型____ is fast.

____ is slow.

Eg: A bicycle is slow. A truck is fast.

A taxi is slow. A plane is fast.

（3）Let's chant car car , by car, by car bus bus , by bus, by bus taxi taxi ，by taxi, by taxi bike bike , by bike, by bike train train, by train, by train Plane plane, I love the plane. （设计意图：利用chant组织课堂教学，激发了学习兴趣，营造了学习英语氛围。）

（4）Student book:

（a）T: We know Li Ming wants to go on a trip to Beijing. How far is it from Shijiazhuang to Beijing? （b）Listen to the tape and try to find the answers.

(c) Read in roles. (5) Practice in pairs T: I want to go on a trip to Beijing. Can you come? S: Yes. How far is it from Handan to Beijing? T: It’s 440 kilometers. S: Let’s go to Beijing by plane. A planes is fast.

T: No, I want to take a bus.

It’s not far. S: A bus is slow. Let’s take a train. A train is fast. T: OK, let’s go. [设计意图：通过创设真实的语言情境来检验学生能否准确地运用本课所学句型。]

Step 3、Demonstrate a dialogue with your partner. Step 4、Let's sing a song Finally, I want to share a saying: 熟能生巧。Practice makes perfect. Step 5、Homework: Make a dialogue with all words and patterns that we learn today.
