Show a map of China, invite the students to continue the food trip. Come to Yunnan to learn about Yunnan Rice Noodles. 1.

Have you ever eaten Yunnan rice noodles? 2.Why are they so popular?

Step 2 Presentation (3a)

1.

Show them a video about the story of Yunnan Rice Noodles. Let them know they're popular because of their taste and long history. 2.

Watch a video about how to make Yunnan Rice Noodles.

3. Learn about the ingredients of rice noodles and the steps of making them . 4.Ss read the recipe and fill in the blanks.

T guides Ss to find the main idea of each part. Meanwhile, go through some details. 5.lead Ss to write the outline about the Yunnan Rice Noodles. 5. T shows many different kinds of rice noodles.,Ss brainstorm more ingredients. Step 3.Pre-writing 1.

Discuss about the traditional food in our hometown. 2.Groupwork. Discuss in groups. 1)What are the ingredients?/What do we need to have ? 2)What are the key words(关键词)?How to make zongzi? 3) lead Ss to write the outline about Zongzi.

List the words about the ingredients and the steps.

Step 4 while-writing

Ask Ss to write by themselves. Step 5 Post-writing Show an evaluation to Ss, ask them to evaluate the recipe first. Choose a recipe to show , evaluate it together.
