1．教学背景分析

教学内容分析：

本单元主要内容为植物的各个部分以及功能作用，本课的主要内容是植物的各个部分，主要的功能句型为“What’s the English for the different part of the plant? They are…”旨在用英语询问如何表达植物的各个部分。本节课主要目的让孩子们在活动中学会各个部分如何用英文表达，并了解在不同的整株植物上，植物的各个部分呈现出的不同形态。

学生情况分析：

教学对象为五年级学生，整体学习英语的兴趣较高、课堂表现较为活跃。从科学课的角度讲，三年级下学期已经进行学习过植物的各个部分，所以，学生对于植物的各个部分并不陌生。从英语学科的角度讲，需要将对话中询问植物各部分的重点表达句型进行新授和练习。而且，这个年龄段的孩子思维发展逐渐趋向于抽象思维，对于较为具象的自身英语学科的知识有更高的要求，教学设计不应仅仅停留在语言层面，而需要用更多的活动形式进行练习和拓展，在活动中反复运用，并尝试与生活实际联系起来。另外，四年级上册已经学过nature 这一话题的相关内容，可以与本单元植物相关内容紧密联系。

教学方式与手段说明：

自制ppt课件，植物挂图，板书词条。

技术准备：

PPT课件，教学光盘，植物各部分的图片。

教学目标：

1．能运用“What’s the English for the different parts of a plant?”的句型以及答语“They are the roots, the stem, the leaves, the flowers, the fruit and the seeds.”

2．能认读植物各部分的词汇，能分角色对话朗读和进行角色表演。

3．能了解植物的各部分在不同植物上呈现出不同的形态。

Step 1:

Warming up & Leading in Let’s have a free talk. Topic: What is nature?

Everything is nature. I love nature. Spring has come. Let’s go to a Baobao’s farm with Sara to have a look at different parts of the nature.

Baobao: Animal is part of nature. What’s the English for their different parts of the body?

S: Eyes, ears, and legs. 从已知的动物身体部位入手，首次渗透重点句型。并进入本课重点情景：宝宝的农场。

Sara: Great. Different body parts must have different jobs.

Baobao: You’re right. And what about plants?

Plants are also an important part of nature. Step 2: Words and expressions. Q1: What’s English for the different part of the plants?

Q2: How many parts in Sara’s answer? Is she right? Q3: I have a different answer.

(有质疑) Which part is different from Sara’s? Q4: Which one is right？Five or six? Check your dictionary or online. 【设置目的】

让学生与科学课上的所学进行联系，并激励学生敢于质疑。

Step 4: Let’s play a guessing game! What plant is it? From part to plant.

选择不同分值的各个部分，猜测整体或其他生活中常见的部分。分值越高，难度越大。

【设置意图：通过部分来猜测整体，学生在趣味的游戏中认识到了更多的植物，开拓思维，拓宽了视野，通过非常规所见的植物部分来猜测其他植物部分，增加游戏的趣味性，并与一些日常生活中的水果和蔬菜联系起来，与生活实际紧密结合。】

Step 5:

Let’s make a dish!

Sara is hungry. Choose one from each six paper bags. Make a dish for Sara! Question 1: Can we eat this part of the plant? Question 2: Make your own menu using this part of the plant. Dish: 芹菜花生米Materials: Celery (the stem) Peanut (the seed)Garlic ( the seed)

从代表着根茎叶花果种子六大部分的袋子中共选出六样食材（一个部分选一个），来编写自己的菜谱。各小组首先介绍自己的食材分别是植物的哪部分。然后介绍菜谱。

【设置目的】延续宝宝农场的场景，借助“Sara is hungry.”助推故事情节，自然过渡。

在介绍食材的过程中,将日常所接触的食材回归植物本身，将枯燥的自然科学知识（即植物的各个部分）与自己的生活实际相联系起来，并尝试用英语表达，调动学生英语学习的积极性，提高学生学习英语的实用意识。
