Unit 5 Famous People 第三课时

教学目标:
知识目标:能够听懂、会说invention, invent, study, story这四个单词,并尝试借助拼读规律记忆单词。
能力目标:能够听懂、会说用来询问名人因何闻名的功能句:Why is … famous? 以及相应的答语:He’s famous for …. 情感目标:能够了解名人事迹,学习其优秀品质,获得人生启迪。
教学重点:
1.能够在实际语境中交流运用询问名人因何闻名的功能句:Why is … famous?以及相应的答语:He’s famous for …. 2.能够表演并内化所学对话的交际内容。
教学难点:
invention, invent, study, story四个单词的发音。
教学方法:
情景教学法、任务型教学法、合作学习法。
教具准备:
名人图片、本课时所需PPT。
教学过程:
Step Ⅰ. Warming up 1. Greeting. 2. Enjoy a song. Step Ⅱ. Revision Ask and answer. Review the words in dialogues. Step Ⅲ. Presentation 1. Lead-in Show the picture of Joy and Sam. Lead in the new lesson. 2. Group work: Learn the new sentences by using the sentence structure what we have learned. Then practice in groups. A: Why is he famous? B: He is famous for…. 3. Show time. 4. Listen and answer: Who are they talking about? 5. Try it by yourself. Listen, then try to read the words: invention, invent, study, story. 6. Group work.
Read the dialogue and answer the questions, then discuss your answers in groups. Q1: What did the famous people do? Q2: Why are they famous? Q3: Who is Joy’s favourite famous person? 7. Show time, then check the answers. 8. Read the dialogue follow the cartoon. 9. Pair work: Role play. Read the dialogue with your partner, then act it out. 10. Show time. Step Ⅳ. Consolidation. 1. Write about your favourite famous people. 2. Show time. 3. Emotional education: There are kinds of ways in my life. Remember that everything is good for something. Never give up. 本节课是我精心设计的,先歌曲热身并复习上节所学名人及其职业,然后以旧带新学习重点句型并小组合作操练巩固。接着设置情景导入新课,由自主尝试解决生词,并提出问题让学生通过观看动画、读课文和小组讨论予以解决,然后以Role play的形式巩固所学课文,最后落实到写上,拓展了语用。总的来说,学生们学得不错,圆满完成了教学任务,但个别活动没有给学生留有充足的展示时间,以后应该好好把握课堂节奏,做到张弛有度。
