一、教学目标：

1. 语言知识目标：

1) 能掌握以下单词：the day before yesterday, the day after tomorrow, weekday, look after, invitation, reply, forward, delete, print, sad, goodbye, take a trip, glad, preparation, glue, without, surprised, look forward to

2) 能掌握以下句型：

1) 掌握本课时出现的生词及表达方式。

2) 进行听力训练，提高综合听说能力。

3）阅读短文，获得相关信息，提高学生们的综合阅读能力。

三、教学步骤

I. Revision

1. 复习上节课所学短语。

2. 复习表达请求与应答请求。

II. New words

the day before yesterday, the day after tomorrow, weekday, look after 3. 复习一些常用的委婉地表达拒绝的方式。

III. Warming up

1. Show a calendar to the Ss, then let them answer some questions.

T: What day is today/tomorrow/the day after tomorrow?

S: It’s Tuesday/Wednesday/Thursday.

2. T: What was/is the date yesterday/the day before yesterday/ today/tomorrow/the day after tomorrow?

S: 13th/14th/15th…. Let the students ask these questions one by one.

IV. Work on 1a and 1b. V. Work on 1c Explanation What’s today?

What’s today?意思是“今天几号，星期几？”。如：

—What’s today?

—It’s Saturday the 2nd.

【链接】What’s the day today? / What day is it today?意为“今天星期几？”；What’s the date today? / What date is it today? 意为“今天几月几号？/ 今天几号？”。

VI. Listening

Work on 1d: 1. Tell Ss to listen to Vince and Andy’s conversation. Then circle Yes or No.

2. Play the recording for the Ss. Ss just listen for the first time. Play the recording again and circle.

3. Play the recording and check the answers with the Ss.

Work on 1e:

1. Tell Ss they'll listen to the tape again. Then try to match Vince’s activities with the days in 1d.

听力指导: 通过事先读表格中的内容，可以看出，本听力重点要求我们听清每个活动的时间安排，因此我们在听时应重点听句子中的活动及其时间, 并将时间与活动内容相连。

2. Ss listen to the recording carefully and try to match Vince’s activities with the days.

3. Play the recording again and check the answers with the class.

VII. Pair work

Work on 1f: Work in pairs. One is Andy and the other is Vince. Andy, invite Vince to play tennis. Ask Ss to practice the conversations in pairs.

Make a list of kinds of parties people have. Ss discuss the parties they know. And write them down on their books.

VIII. New words

2. Let Ss read the passage quickly. Why did the people write them? Match the reason with each message below.

4. Check the answers with the Ss.

5. T: Now let’s work on 2c. This time you should read the passage a little more carefully. Then answer the questions.

方法指导：首先，阅读试题的内容，明确问题的意思，然后，带着这五个问题再次认真阅读短文的内容，并在相关段落中认真查找相关问题的答案。根据相关提示完成问题。

6. Ss read carefully and try to answer the questions.

7. Check the answers with the class.

Language points 1. Let’s have a surprise party for her next Friday the 28th!

surprise party是西方国家常见的一种聚会形式，是一种旨在给人带来惊喜的聚会。因此，surprise party可译作“惊喜聚会；意外派对”。

2. I look forward to hearing from you all.

look forward to是一个固定的结构，表示“期待；期盼”，其中to是介词，因此后面若使用动词，要使用其-ing形式。又如：

X. Practice 1. T: Imagine one of your favorite teachers is leaving. Plan a party for him/her. Answer the questions with a partner.

2. Ss discuss the questions with a partner. Then answer the questions.
