Unit 9 can you come to my party?

Section B(1a－1f)

教材分析： Section B是在Section A的基础上，借助日历引出日期的表达方式，呈现相关词汇和句式，依据时间表对活动安排进行细化。在形式上从口头对话发出邀请、接受，拒绝邀请，逐步过渡到邀请函的写作。1a-1f这部分是通过听说活动拓展单元话题，巩固目标语言的运用。活动1a要求写出一周对应的日期；活动1b复习和拓展有关词汇。活动1c借用1a和1b的信息进行听力检测。活动1f是听力的延续，让学生将听到的信息用角色扮演的方式进行语言输出。

学情分析：学生已在Section A学习了用can you...?发出邀请和接受，拒绝邀请，但还不熟练。需要多练，进一步通过听说操练巩固本单元目标语言。对后面阅读和写作做好铺垫。

过程与方法:利用ppt呈现日历，复习星期和日期，引出表示时间的新短语，教授新的词汇和句型，利用Pair work问答式的口语交际活动或小组活动，进行询问星期和日期的课堂教学和练习。

1、掌握本课的词汇，词组和句型。

Step 1 Leading in

1. Review the days of the week. Present a calendar and ask : How many days are there in a week? What are they? Can you spell them?

2. Ask students to read the words of week aloud.

3. Revise the ordinal number by asking: What’ the first day in a week?

Then let students count the days from Sunday to Saturday with ordinal number. Step 2

Presentation 1.Teach “weekday”

by explaining “Sunday and Saturday are weekends, the other five days are weekdays”

2. Lead in the new target langue by asking: (1) What day is it today?

It’s Wednesday. (2) What’s the date today? It’s December,15th. 3. The same way to learn: yesterday, the day before yesterday, tomorrow , the day after tomorrow.

4. Do you know how to ask both questions in a sentence?

Help students answer: What’s today?

Ask students to complete Activity 1a with the words in 1b in the correct space on the calendars in their books. 3. Ask two students to read the dialogue in 1c to the class. 4. 1. Ask students to read Vince’s activities, make sure they know the meanings. 2. Explain some phrases. 3. The first listening, Let students listen to the conversation and answer:

Can Vince play tennis with Andy？Circle “Yes” or “no”．

4. Play the recording for twice again, ask students to match the days with the activities. 5. Correct the answers. 6.Listen and fill in the blanks. Vince _____ play tennis with Andy. He _______ go to the doctor and study for a test ______. Tomorrow, he ___________. After that, he ________. And he _______ look after his little sister ____________.
