Step 1 Lead-in 1. Revise the present indefinite simple present by asking “Do you want to watch a game show? What do you plan to watch tonight?”

2. Show your favorite CD to the class and say:

This is my favorite CD. Its name is “Mr. Bean”.I like it because it is very interesting and relaxing. I like watching sitcoms. Step 2 Teaching aims

Show the teaching aims on the blackboard or on the screen, let them know what they will learn.

Self learning and presentation 1. Grammar Focus. At first, ask some students to translate these sentences into Chinese. Then ask students to follow me to read them twice and give students five minutes to recite these sentences.

2. Revise the present indefinite simple present.

1. 3a. Students talk about what they plan to watch on TV tonight in pairs. Then practice conversations like this:

A: What do you plan to watch on TV tonight? B: I hope to watch a game show, but I also want to watch sitcoms. How about you? Do you want to watch a talk show or a game show? A: Oh, I want to watch a game show. B: Ok. Let's watch a game show. 2. 3b.and 3c. The teacher and students check the answers.
