Greetings! Play some pictures of Chinese food. Then ask: What can you see in the picture? (We can see many kinds of food.) I think they are delicious. Do you think so? Today we are going to learn to write a

recipe for food. Then we’ll make our class cookbook.

Step2 Pre-writing 1.Show the pictures of these foods. Ask: Do you remember how to make them? Retell the steps of making food. (Ask different students to give the retelling.) 2. When the students retell the steps, teacher writes the sign words on the blackboard. (First, second, next, then, finally. ) Then say: These words can help us write steps. 3. Now please look at the picture. Ask:What is it? Do you know how to make this special food? Read the recipe on P63. Fill in the blanks with the words in the box. Make sure the students know the meaning of the words. Students fill in the blanks. Check the answers. Students read the recipe. 4. Ask: Can you make Yunnan Rice Noodles now? How many parts are there mainly in the recipe? (Two)The first part is the ingredients we need to make this food. The second part is the steps of making things.

5.Say: I have a recipe for my favorite thing. Guess what it is. Show the recipe for Russian soup. One student read the recipe.

Others guess the name of it. Step4 While-writing 1.Students write their recipe for their favorite food. Say: Write a recipe for your favorite food without giving the name of the food. One students write the recipe on the Bb. 2.Work in pairs. Read the recipe for your partner, then the other guess the name of food. At the same time, help correct the mistakes. 3.Have some students read recipes and other students guess the name of food. (Two or three) Teacher helps correct the mistakes.
