T: Find my name. （T 贴Emily 名字牌）

Look & judge T: Look at my photos, and answer yes / no questions . 设计意图：通过讨论新教师Emily的外表特征, 迅速拉近师生距离，同时复习形容词，考查学生词汇储备情况。最后通过看照片并回答yes/ no的活动，过渡到family这一话题。

Emily’s family: small /nice/...

The teacher shows a family photo to students. By talking about the photo, Ss learn new words: mother, father, parents, sister, and sentence patters: This/ That is my...; These/ Those are...

设计意图：通过Emily的家庭合影，学生直观感受并学习部分新单词，在教师的现场演示与TPR中，

学生感知远指（That is / Those are...）与近指（This is/ These are...）。

T: This is Emily’s family. How many people are there in my family?

Ss: Four.

T: How do you think of my family? Discuss in your team.

S: It is nice/ small/...

设计意图：学生在讨论中，复习并输出以前学过的形容词，感知小而愉快的家庭氛围。

T: No, not my family. This time , the baby is asking. Look!(T 贴Baby名字牌) Now, watch and answer this question.

Ss enjoy a short cartoon about the baby’s family.

设计意图：学生看动画，在诙谐轻松的音乐中复习刚刚学习的father, mother, sister，以及学习brother。同时带入另一种家庭类型：noisy / crazy family。

T: How many people are there in the baby’s family?

Ss:...

T: See: Who’s he?

Ss: He’s my father.

(Same method to review: mother, father, sister, and learn “brother”.)

T: How many people in this family?

Ss: Five.

设计意图：在有节奏与韵律的chant中操练新单词与新句型。

T: Emily’s family is small and nice; this baby’s family is small and noisy; this time, a big family is coming.

T: How many people can you see? ( 9) Who are talking? (The boy with blond hair and the boy with black hair) Whose family are they talking about? (hair color: magical inheritance) Who are they? 设计意图：讨论书本第一部分的图片，培养学生的观察能力，并为进入文本做准备。

Open books and match words with numbers. And underline puzzling words. T: Any question?

Ss learn new words: grandmother, grandfather, grandparents 设计意图：弱化处理grandmother, grandfather, grandparents三个单词，因为它们与mother, father, parents极为相似，仅仅加了一个前缀。通过学生自主学习，发现规律，解决问题。

T: Now play a difficult game. Word puzzle. Number 1 to 6 means six words. Do you know them? Spell and find the 7th one. (Discuss in teams)

设计意图：在word puzzle中训练学生的思维能力。同时，family members, school, teachers组成一个大家庭，让学生体会小家之外的大家之意。

T: Most families are happy, however, some are sad. Enjoy a piece of video. They’re sad, but they love each other. Boys and girls, cherish our life,every day; Love our family, every one. 设计意图：整节课的主线是不同类型的家庭。揭示主题，无论是怎样类型的家庭，或大或小，或快乐或悲伤，都有爱存在。
