Unit 5 Do you want to watch a game show?

Section A 2d---3c 1.

知识目标：

继续学习并掌握sitcom, news, soap opera, mind, stand, educational, plan, hope, happen, expect, find out, discussion 等词汇及短语；

认读并识记joke, comedy 等词汇及短语；

（3）

能了解并初步掌握以下语法：

Infinitives used as objects: to do. 2.

技能目标：

（1）

观察并总结动词不定式结构做宾语用法；

（2）

通过进一步的说、做活动，独立完成3a、3b, 巩固动词不定式结构做宾语用法；

（3）

能借助3c,采访几位同学，创造性地自编短小的对话。

Teaching steps: Step 1. Lead-in

First ask students watch TV shows they like. And then talk about them. Step 2. 2d.

First ask two students to act out the conversation and then make their own conversations. This step can improve their oral English and speaking skills.

Step 3. Grammar focus.

Read the sentences together and then help students to summarize the grammar. Step 4. Practice(3a)

First show some sentences in 3a, and ask students to fill in the blanks with the TV show words. Complete the questions with the TV show words. This step helps students know how to finish the sentences, and grasp the responses to the questions. Step 5. Pair work(3b)

Firstly, ask some of the students to say sentences using the given words. Secondly , ask others to answer. Then ask each of the students to write questions. Ask and answer with a partner. One asks, the other answers, and then ask them to give a report. This step helps to train the usages of the present tense. Step 6. A survey(3c)

The teacher first asks students question:

Do you want to watch a movie?

Do you hope to watch a sitcom?

Do you expect to watch the news?

Do you plan to watch a sport show?

Some students would say like this: Yes, I do./ No, I don’t.

Make a survey: Ask your classmates questions and write

their names in the chart.
