本课选自《新标准英语》三年级起始三年级下册Module2 Unit2 That man is short.本单元主要学习运用恰当的形容词描述某人或某物的特征。学习几对反义词：tall-short, big-small, fat-thin. 教学目标

一、知识目标

词汇：tall, short, big, small, fat, thin, big and fat 句子：This monkey is small and thin. 二、能力目标

能灵活运用This/That … is tall/ short/ big/ small.

描述某人/物的特征。

三、情感目标

1. 培养学生爱护小动物的美好品质。

2．通过学习，树立学生学习英语的自信心和团结合作的能力。

Step1. Warming-up. Greetings. Let’s look at the video. Step2.Presentation 1.show the pictures, Ask questions: What’s this? This is a ____.(复习动物）

2.show a pictures of man,Learn new word:man. 3.Let’s look at the picture,Learn new word:tall and short. 4.show a pictures,Learn new words:big and small. Fat and shin. 5.Let the students try to describe pictures, teacher helps them(guess words:big and fat,small and thin). 6.Show the new words,make rub and help them remember new words and new sentences. Step3.Practice 1.Listen to the tape and follow the tape.
