Teaching Content: 5A Unit 3 Time (Part 2&3)
Teaching Aims:
1. Knowledge aims: 1) The pupils can use the phrases: get up, have breakfast, go to school, classes begin, school starts, school ends, watch TV, go swimming and go to bed.
2) The pupils can talk about their days.
2. Ability aim: Develop the abilities of listening, reading, writing and speaking.
3. Non-intelligence aim:They are interested in learning English; they like taking part in the activities in the class; the pupils get fun and confident in the class; define the development of the pupils’ composite language abilities.
Teaching Aids:CAI,cards,exercise paper,assessment cards.
Teaching Process:
Step1. Warm-up:
1. Ask and answer: What’s the time? It’s ….

2. Watch a video about Jerry.
Step2. Presentation:
1. Learn to use the phrases: get up, have breakfast, go to school, classes begin.
1) Look and say.
2) Read one by one.
3) I say, you do.
4) I do, you say.
2. Learn to use the phrases: classes begin, school starts, school ends, watch TV, go swimming and go to bed.
1) Look and match.
2) Little teachers.
3) Look at the numbers and say the phrases.
Step3. Practice:
1. A competition: Look and answer.
2. Do 2a.
3. Check the answers by using the sentence pattern: I … at … .
Step4. Consolidation:
1. A game.
Choose the pictures and the time, then make sentences. 2. Correct the sentences:
1) I get up seven o’clock.
2) I go school at half past seven.
3) I school starts twenty-five past eight.
4) School end at twenty past five.
5) I swimming at ten to six.
Step5. Application:
1. Read a text about Betty and fill in the table.
2. Talk about Betty according to the information.
3. Fill your information in the table.
4. Talk about your day.
