教材分析:
本节课是冀教版教材Unit1中
的第二课Lesson2:What Do They Look Like?在第一单元,学生们开始学习一些人物外貌的描述及对事情的喜好,通过本课的学习,使学生能运用重点词汇和句型谈论家人的外貌特征。
学情分析: 五年级的学生,不管是词汇还是句型上都有了一定量的积累,根据学情,本节课我将设计一些活动,在活动中学习词汇,调动学生的学习兴趣,使学生乐于学习,不断培养学生积极主动的学习态度。
一:Objectives 1:Content (1)words and expressions: white, hair, black, uncle, aunt, cousin, thin tall and thin. Long short fat (2)Sentence pattern--What do/does …look like? …is tall/short...../How old?......years old. 2:Abilities:
1.Be able to understand the new words and try to read them correctly. 2.Be able to try to describe the people’s appearance and try to use today’s new words. 3 Emotion Love your family and love others. 二:language Focus:

六:Teaching Procedure Step一:Warming-up 1.Free talk 2 sing a song 【设计意图】:,营造轻松快乐的英语氛围,同时拉近老师与学生的距离。同时,本首歌曲与本节课有关。所以,播放本首歌曲的目的即是活跃课堂,又是给本课做好铺垫。
Step二. Leading in: Greeting and sing a song 2.Free talk. T:What does your new English teacher ?Is she /he tall/short?...... Is she /he thin /fat?
What colour is her /his hair? Does she /he/have long hair or short hair? T:Showing LiMing’s family and teacher’s family. 2
T:What do they look like? Is he tall/short?......
【设计意图】:采用Free talk的方式,自然的创设语境,让学生在交谈中由称谓过渡到外貌,初步感知要学的内容。从而导入到本节课。
Step三:Presentation 1:some new words.播放动画视频
同学们带着问题去读,并找出新词汇贴于教室黑板上

T:What colour......?S:white, hair, black T:What do/does …look like?S: thin fat tall short long (设计意图在语境中学习词汇,并运用词汇。) 教法提示:在这一部分,教师充分发挥了“在英语课堂中创设英语环境的教学方法”教师可以多举一些生活中的例子以及课堂中的实体来学习新词汇并让学生在文中找出有关本可课的新词汇并把它粘贴在教师的黑板上。

(设计意图)假设你是老师的女儿,教师引导学生去说,去听。在这个时候,教师可以让学生小组展示。集体展示,个人展示等。选择老师家人的照片让学生去描述,激发了学生的学习兴趣和参与热情。。

(设计意图)创设真实的语境,用大量的口语来练习和拓展使用词汇和短语来描述家人和自己,并反复运用句型.此环节,教师可以让学生带上家人的照片或者是画一张家人的照片来描述。)
3:emotion (情感的升华):
Today ,we learn about li ming’s family .we learn about teacher’s family.......as a member in this family,do you love your family?What sh should we do in this family?We should love each other/help each other/unite each other....... Do you love your family?Why? (设计意图 在本节课,教师注意在课堂最后要进行情感的教育和升华)
