Lesson 2 What Do They Look Like? 泊头市王武学区后河小学 李丽华
一:教学资源分析:本单元围绕“My Family”这个话题展开,包括:介绍家庭成员,描述人的长相,表述家人的职业或者他们喜欢做什么. 学情分析:五年级的孩子具有了一定的英语语言交际能力,极具模仿性,接受新事物的能力很强,同时又形成了一定的学习习惯,当然包括一定的错误习惯,正确的引导与纠正对于这个年龄段的孩子来说尤为重要。我们五年级的孩子积极主动,学习英语热情高涨,但是也存在很多问题。比如说:两极分化严重、骄傲自满等。
二:教学目标:

通过创设真实的生活情境,使课堂成为一个大家庭,用轻松、愉快的方式激发学生学英语的兴趣同时感受亲情。

五:教学过程:
Step 1: Greeting Hello,how do you feel? Let’s sing a song. Sing a song :”Finger Family”
(设计意图:随着音乐唱唱、做做,营造一个轻松愉快的课堂气氛,既复习了上节课知识又拉近了师生间的距离。)
Step 2: Revision 1.Review the family members by the song “Finger Family”. 2.Review the family members by the powerpoint. (Read the family members together, and then ask one student to be
a teacher, and others read after him or her. (设计意图:通过英语歌曲和幻灯片回忆关于家庭成员的单词,很形象、很直接,可以很快调动起学生的积极性,活跃课堂气氛。) Step 3: Presentation 1.
单词学习:uncle, aunt, cousin, black, thin, white (1)T: Now, look! This is a small family. This is an uncle. Write uncle on the blackboard.Teach them how to read and use the word(an uncle). Then ask them a question: What colour is the uncle’s hair? Then write the sentence on the blackboard: He has
black hair. Mark the word “black”. Then teach them to read “black”. (2)T: Now, look! This is an aunt. Write aunt on the blackboard. Teach them how to read and use the word(an aunt). Then ask them a question: Is she thin or fat?(用手势比划出thin 和fat) Then write the sentence on the blackboard: She is thin. Mark the word “thin”. Then teach them to read “thin”,especially how to read “th”. (3)T: Listen, we call uncle and aunt’s child “cousin”. Write cousin
on the blackboard. Teach them to read and use the word (cousins). Then ask them a question: What colour is the cousin’s hair? Then write the sentence on the blackboard: They have white hair. Practise reading the new words in many ways. (设计意图;使用幻灯片在设定好的情境中学习新的单词,这样生动,易于掌握,体现了语言的交际功能。) 2.
句型学习:He/She has...... What do they look like? (1)Explain the sentences on the blackboard.(讲板书) Can you find the difference between the first sentence and the third sentence? First let the students say,then the teacher summarise.And then lead them to understand the meaning of “What do they look like?”(引导学生自己感悟“has”的用法,通过语境让学生自己体会“What do they look like?”的意思。)
(2)Create situation.(创情境)
Let’s get to know a nice girl. Her name is Coco. She has an uncle, an aunt, and a cousin. Now try to guess which one is her uncle, her
aunt, or her cousin?(出示幻灯片分别展示不同的uncle、aunt和cousin) T: He has short red hair.Which one is her uncle? S: The first/second/third one is her uncle. Describe the aunt and the cousin in the same way. (设计意图:以创设情境的方式让学生去猜测,这样在无形中集中了学生的注意力,学生在英语的具体应用中习得英语。)

课文学习:
T:Do you want to know something about Li Ming’s family? S: Yes. T: Let’s go to Li Ming’s family. (1)Look and listen carefully.And then fill in the blanks.(认真听然后做相关的填空练习。)
(2)Let’s chant. (设计意图:chant是这个年龄段的孩子们屡试不爽的学习形式,孩子们在轻松愉快的氛围中进一步熟悉巩固所学的重点,能够训练孩子综合运用语言的能力,同时也能让孩子们稍微放松一下,为下一步的学习积聚能量。)
(3)Listen and follow it loudly.(听并大声跟读。)
(4)Read loudly by themselves. Then ask someone a question.(大声自读,然后通过生生提问检查学习情况。)
(5)Read silently by themselves.(学生默读,然后教师检测课本上最后一题。)
Step 4:Groupwork Divide the whole class into 6 parts,and every group chooses a model. The other students try to describe the model using the words and sentences they learnt.(小组竞赛,全班分成六个小组,每组选出一个模特,其他的成员用学过的单词、句子来描述模特,评选出优胜小组。)
(设计意图:小组竞赛活动既有趣,又能激发孩子们的合作、竞争意识,同时又能学以致用。)
Step 5: Summary Summarize the key words and sentences today. Step 6: Homework Write a composition about one family member.(about 40 words)

在教授本课时,我通过歌曲、歌谣、丰富的课件、有趣的课堂情境、课堂竞赛等多种形式,给学生创设了既轻松愉快又紧张有序的学习氛围,尽力使学生通过不断的使用、不断的体验,快乐自然地逐步掌握所学的语言知识与技能,让班上各个学习层面的学生都能产生成就感,并能自信地参与语言活动,充分享受自己作为课堂小主人的优越感。孩子们享受课堂、乐在其中,快快乐乐地学到了知识,这是最重要的,这节课也确实达到了这样的效果。
这节课的不足之处是最后的小组表演环节稍显仓促,其实这个环节是孩子们最愿意参与的,应该在这个环节多留出点时间。
