学情分析：八年级学生已具备一定的口语基础,这一阶段的学生思维能力发展较快,自我意识增强,有较强的求知欲和表现欲,在情感方面他们能

进行自我教育。在教学过程中注意设置竞争小组，增加游戏环节，激发他们的学习兴趣，培养他们的阅读和写作能力。

教学目标：

1语言目标：

能掌握以下句型：

① Who was the best performer？

② All these shoes have one thing in common.

③ That’s up to you to decide.

④ But if you don’t take these shows too seriously, …

⑤ They usually play a role in deciding the winner.

2 技能目标：

1）阅读短文，获得相关信息，提高学生们的综合阅读能力。

2) 阅读2b部分的短文并完成相关要求。

3) 能够用英语表达自己的建议，并就自己所熟知的问题发表看法。

3 情感目标：了解一些选秀节目的实质及目的，正确对待生活中的一些歌星及影星，不要盲目地追风，做追星族。

教学重难点：1)阅读短文，获得相关信息提高学生们的综合阅读能力

2)能运用所学的语言知识来简单地表达自己对某一困难问题的看法和建议。

教学过程：Section B3 (2a – 3c) Step 1 Preparation 1.Warming up 2.Show the learning objectives. 3.Review the new words. Step2 Presentation 1.First,Skimming let’s read the passage quickly and Match right key words with each paragraph. 2.Scanning Let the students get the reading skills and read the passage to find out which three talent shows are mentioned? Step 3 Practice Careful reading
