本课选自《新标准英语》三年级起始三年级下册Module2 Unit2 That man is short.本单元主要学习运用恰当的形容词描述某人或某物的特征。学习几对反义词：tall-short, big-small, fat-thin及man. 教学目标

1.知识目标

（1）词汇：tall, short, big, small, fat, thin, big and fat （2）句子：This monkey is small and thin. 2.能力目标

（1）能灵活运用This/That … is tall/ short/ big/ small. （2）描述某人/物的特征。

3.情感目标

(1) 培养学生爱护小动物的美好品质。

(2)通过学习，树立学生学习英语的自信心和团结合作的能力。

教学重点、难点 1.重点: （1）学习并掌握单词man tall, short, big, small, fat, thin （2）掌握句型 This/That … is tall/ short/ big/ small. 2.难点：

（1）掌握单词：man，tall, short, big, small, fat, thin

（2）句型 That man is big and fat. 教法与学法 1.教法：情境法，游戏法，交际法。

教学过程：

Part 1 Warm up 1.Greeting T:Hello,boys and girls. S：hello，teacher. 2.Let's have a chant. Part 2 Presentation 1.Words learning T:Boys and girls, let's go to the zoo together. Show pictures, T:ok,here's a monkey, here's a panda, here's...they're all animals, but the giraffe is tall. 出示all all 教授tall this man is tall，T:Do you know man? T:an，an ，自然拼读man.I'm tall ，(与学生对比身高引出short)you’re short, sh [ʃ][ʃ][ʃ]大小声训练读short.领读课题。

出示两只象图片，讲解指大象引导学生说big一词，“石头剪刀布”游戏训练big词，学生手指师板书big，知道bbb，[b][b][b]，this elephant is big，that elephant is...引导说small all tall,

自然拼读small. Here's monkeys，T:this monkey is fat.fat，fat，fat，fingers板书写fat，领读th，in自然拼读thin，引导学生说this monkey is thin. T:ok,can you describe your classmates with these words？
