根据《初中英语课程标准》，义务教育阶段英语课程的总目标是：“通过英语学习使学生形成初步的综合语言运用能力，促进心智发展提高综合人文素养、“《新课程标准》（以下简称《课标》）对八年级学生的阅读能力做出以下要求：“能连贯，流畅地朗读课文：能从简单的文章中找出有关信息，理解大意：能读懂简单的个人信件，说明文等应用文体材料。”本节课将根据《课标》要求，对学生的明读能力、信息箱选能力、理解能力和表这能力进行有效训练。同时《课标》也建议在英语教学中，对课程资源进行开发与利用，本常课中将应用到各种教学资源，如，利用学校提供的触屏电视和投影学生提供直观可视的教学内容：引导学生自主学习，提升学生的朗读能力和学习效率。

本课时内容人教社新目标初中英语教材8上Unit 4Who’s Got Talent的阅读课，通过学生非常感兴趣的“达人秀”话题展开以阅读为主的学习活动。在语言技能上，培养学生在阅读及各类教学活动中熟练理解并运用形容词和副词的最高级。在策略上，以Who’s got talent?设计回答问题、找出短文中的最高级并造句、找寻班级里的“达人”等任务链活动，帮助学生利用、巩固所学知识。整个过程由易到难，循序渐进，符合学生认知规律。最后的口语活动中，要求学生谈论Who’s got talent in your group?从talents, classmates’ names和how many students agree几个方面组成调查，并运用形容词和副词的最高级来进行有效的对话，讨论身边同学的特长。

s Got Talent这一课的学习，用正确的阅读技巧分析文章结构，硫通文章脉络，掌提文章大意：并将文本输出转化为实际应用，即用最高级描述人物或事物特点，从而发掘别人身上的优点，也为自己的人生确立梦想，并为之付出行动。
