Greet the class as usual and check the homework. StepⅡ

Activity 3a. First,lead students to have a look at the instruction to know what to do and how to do it. Then invite a student to read the five words in the box,explain their meanings and point out their superlative forms.Encourage other students to correct the mistakes if any. And then,ask students to fill in blanks on their own.Call attention to the

T:After reading the passage about Greenwood Park in Activity 3a,think about some of the best things or places in your town.You may take the sample sentences in the chart.Do it individually. Give students several minutes to do this task. As they work,move around the room checking the progress and offering language help as needed. Then divide students into pairs to talk about the best things and places in their town.

Finally,invite some students to present their work. 2.Activity 3c.

T:Now,let’s write a passage about your town using the information in the chart in 3c.You need to pay attention to the superlative forms of the adjectives and adverbs.If you have any grammatical problem,please ask me for help.Are you clear?

Summary

In this period,we have mainly consolidated the key words and target language in this unit.Through some oral practice and writing practice,we checked the progress and improved our skills.
