Lesson21 What year is it? 教材分析：本节课要求学生学会谈论自己及家人朋友的属相。这节课内容由词汇，对话，练习三部分构成。其内容在教材中占有重要地位。为后面学习谈论中国文化奠定了基础。

学情分析：课前对学生做了简单的调查，五年级学生对十二生肖有一定的了解，以前也学习了十二生肖中的大部分动物，对一些基本的句型也能够了解和掌握，能够在教师指令下参加一些活动，对直观生动的东西充满兴趣。所以本节课利用生动形象的卡片，动画，声音调动学生学习的积极性。小学生抽象思维不如形象思维，所以对句型的理解和运用将是本节课的最大障碍。

知识和技能目标：

1、了解中国传统文化

2、能熟练掌握十二生肖的单词和它们的排序

3、能用句子“What is your year?”来提问并回答

教学重点：
