Review the sentence pattern of asking the date A: What day is it today?

Introduce the new sentence of asking the date

A: What’s today？

Practice Work on 1a 1.

Point out the dates of the week at the top of the calendar and ask a student to read these words aloud. 2.

Write the dates for this week on the calendar. 3.

Read the dates and check the answers together. Work on 1b 1.

Ask a student to point out today’s date, tomorrow’s date, the day after tomorrow’s date and the day before yesterday’s date.

Ask students to write the words today, tomorrow, yesterday, the day after tomorrow, the day before yesterday, weekend and weekday in the correct space on the calendars in their books. 3.
