Module 2 Unit 2 That man is short.

一、知识目标。

1.词汇：tall、 short、 big、 small、fat、thin。（三对反义词）

句子：This monkey is small and thin.That man is short. 2.能力运用。

能灵活运用This/That … is tall/ short/ big/ small. 能简单描述人或动物的形态

3.情感目标

通过词汇和课文学习，提高学生自主学习英语的能力和团结合作的能力。

二、教学重点

1、学习并掌握六个共三对反义词：tall, short, big, small, fat, thin 2、掌握句型 This/That … is tall/ short/ big/ small. 三、教学难点

1、掌握描述任务动物的并列词组（A and B）,例如：big and fat,small and thin. 2、区分this（这，这个）和that（那，那个）的不同含义→一远一近，这里那里。

四、教学过程

Step 1. Warming-up.预热导入

Greetings. Sing a song —

《The ABC Song》.

Step 2:Vocabulary 词汇教学

1、单词部分采用的方法是让学生观看课件呈现活动。老师指着PPT问学生：What’s this?

Look at the elephant， this elephant is big .That cat is small.接着，老师另一页的两只布猴子说： Look at the monkeys. This monkey is big. That monkey is small. 2、教授新单词：thin ,fat,tall,short等。在学习新词的过程中，教师用肢体语言和学生一起做动作，并且鼓励学生自己介绍自己是高还是矮，是大还是小，激发学生学习英语的兴趣。

Step 3. Presentation 课文教学

1、让学生观看课件呈现活动,引导学生说：“Look at the man.This man is tall. That man is short.”

接着，老师指着猴子说：“Look at the monkeys . This monkey is big.That monkey is small.”

呈现幻灯片（一大一小两只猴子）

T: What are they? S: They are monkeys. T:Look at this monkey , What’s it like？ And look at that monkey , What’s it like？

S: This monkey is big . That monkey is small. 呈现下一张幻灯片（一胖一瘦的两个男人）

T: Who’s he ?（指着胖男人问,引出新词“man”）

S: He’s a man. T：Yes, he’s a man .(领读单词“man”) T：What’s he like？

S: He’s fat . 呈现下一张幻灯片（一高一矮的两个男人）

T: Who’s he ?（指着姚明问,引出新词“tall”）

S: He’s a tall man. T：Yes, he’s tall .(领读单词“tall”) T：What’s he like？

S: He’s tall . 同理，进行short，fat，thin的教学。

3、教师播放录音，请学生边看图边听录音，然后模仿跟读，以小组为单位，练习朗读课文,让学生养成在关键迪凡工作笔记的习惯。学生听录音，然后跟读，最后在重点词下写上汉语意思。

Step4:Practice 展练

1、通过图片对比（高矮胖瘦大小），引导学生进行更多的练习。让学生掌握词汇 thin ，big，small , tall，short.

2、请学生两人一组轮流交换角色进行练习。让学生通过“介绍朋友”活动，结合本课的句型灵活地运用反义词描述动物的特征。（——I’m small and thin,my friend is big and tall.) 五，Homework 家庭练习。

利用我们学过的单词，描述一下你的家人或者朋友吧。
