我们的教育教学要求贴近实际和生活，并且符合学生的心理接受规律。因此在教学设计中结合学生年龄的生理、心理特点和生活实际，尽可能多地为学生创造在真实语境中运用语言的机会，使学生获得综合运用英语和语言技能进行交际的能力，要为学生提供自主学习和相互交流的机会以及充分表现和自我表现的空间。本单元围绕西方英语国家的派对展开学习，目的在于让学生了解西方文化和中国的不同，并通过文本的学习，渗透德育教育，学会感恩。

二、教学背景分析

1.教材分析

本节课是八年级上册第九单元Section B，本节课是一节阅读课。本单元围绕西方英语国家的派对为学习背景，开展多种教学活动。这类话题与学生的日常生活有着密切的联系,所以相应的内容对于提高学生学习英语的兴趣有很大的帮助,这样就能使学生在轻松愉快的氯围中学习英语,享受英语。本学习题材是邀请函，以书信格式呈现。在课标的要求中，中学生需要学习如何正确的书写信件和邀请函。因此，本单元的学习在整个初中的学习中起到很重要的作用。

2.学情分析

本节课学生为初二年级，学生基础良好，具备一定的听说能力和看图理解和阅读技巧能力。并有一定的自主学习能力和合作意识。
