教材依据

本课是新目标英语八年级上第5单元的Section A部分。

二、设计思想

面向全体学生，关注每个学生的情感，激发他们学习英语的兴趣，帮助他们建立学习的成就感和自信心,培养创新精神；整体设计目标，体现灵活开放，目标设计以学生技能，语言知识，情感态度，学习策略和文化意识的发展为基础；突出学生主体，尊重个体差异；采用活动途径，倡导体验参与，即采用任务型的教学模式，让学生在老师的指导下通过感知、体验、实践、参与和合作等方式，实现任务的目标，感受成功；注重过程评价，促进学生发展，建立能激励学生学习兴趣和自主学习能力发展的评价体系。

三、教学目标

1 知识与技能

1）使全体学生掌握本节课的重点词汇。

2）使大部分学生能充分运用本节课的重点词汇和句型谈论电视节目及自己的观点，并能灵活运用英语进行听、说、读、写等活动。

2、过程与方法

1）多媒体辅助教学法，多媒体辅助教学图像、文字于一体，使教学内容更生动、形象、吸引学生的注意力

，是他们在轻松愉快的氛围中接受新的知识。

2）坚持以学生为中心，采用Individual work 和 Pair work相结合的方式使学生进行自主学习、合作探究、体验实践及展示自我，发展听、说、读、写等综合运用语言技巧。

3）充分运用任务型语言教学法指导本节课，以任务贯穿教学主线，培养学生的合作精神及提出问题、解决问题的能力。

3、情感态度与价值观

在操练语言、归纳总结和共同完成话题任务的过程中，加强团体协作意识。

四、教学重点

1）Words：discussion，stand，happen，may，expect，joke，comedy 2) Target language：

Do you want to watch the news? Yes, I do./No, I don’t.

What do you plan to watch tonight? I plan to watch Days of Our Past. What can you expect to learn from sitcoms? You can learn some great jokes. Why do you like watching the news? Because I hope to find out what’s going on around the world. What do you think of talk shows? I don’t mind them./I can’t stand them!/I love watching them!

培养学生的任务型阅读技巧及阅读能力，掌握相关语言点及学会合理解决问题的能力。

六、教学过程

Step 1 Warming up and review. Ask and answer questions about the different shows. What do you think of game show? I can’t stand it. / I like it. / I don’t mind it. I…

Step 2 role-play. 1. Read the conversations and answer the following questions:. 1) What are Grace and Sarah talking ahout? 2) What kind of TV shows do Sarah’s classmates like? 3) What does Grace think of game shows and sports shows? 4) What does Grace think of soap operas? What does Sarah think of them ? 5) What are Sarah ‘s favorite TV shows ? Why does she like them ? What does Grace think of them? 2. Explain some new words and main points in the conversation. 3. Read the conversation after the teacher. 4. Practice the conversation with their partner. Then let some pairs to act out the conversation. Step 3 Grammar. 1. read grammar and do some excercises.. 动词不定式的形式：to + 动词原形

杰克想给吴老师买些花。 常见的跟动词不定式做宾语的动词:

想要 want, 期望 expect, 希望hope, 计划plan, 决定decide ,开始begin,开始start 2. 最后，由各小组长来说一说他们小组所做的总结。

3. 大屏幕出示常见的跟动词不定式做宾语的动词和同学们一起对答案。

【拓展】省略to 的不定式 有些动词后面跟动词不定式时应将不定式符号to省去。常见的动词有let, make, feel, help, watch, hear等。例句：

让我来帮助你。 Let me help you. 你能帮助我打扫房间吗？ Can you help me clean the house? 2. do some exercises. Step 4 Work on 3a:

1. Tell Ss to read the conversation in 3a and try to fill in the blanks with right words. 2. students make their own conversations. Step 5 Work on 3b: 1. Read the questions and understand them. 2. Answer the questions that are true for you. Step 6 Work on 3c: 1.Read the chart. 2. Ask your partner questions and write the answers. 3. Report and interview. In my group, S1 wants to watch a movie. S2 hopes to watch a sitcom. S3 expects to watch the news. S4 plans to watch a sports show. S4 never wants to watch a game show. Step 7 Consolidation:
