1. Revision: Review the Grammar Focus (Let Ss read the sentences). 2. New words: the day before yesterday, the day after tomorrow, weekday, look after 3. Warming up

T: What was/is the date yesterday/the day before yesterday/ today/tomorrow/the day after tomorrow?

S: 13th/14th/15th…. Let the students ask these questions one by one.

Step 2 Writing Work on 1a and 1b: 1.Let Ss finish 1a and 1b by themselves. 2.The teacher gives Ss some writing skills. 3.Check the answers with Ss. Work on 1c: Tell Ss ask and answer questions about the days in 1a.

Step 3 Explanation What’s today?

What’s today?意思是“今天几号，星期几？”。如：

—What’s today?

—It’s Saturday the 2nd.

Step 4. Listening

Work on 1d: 1. Tell Ss to listen to Vince and Andy’s conversation. Then circle Yes or No.

2. Play the recording for the Ss. Ss just listen for the first time. Play the recording again and circle.

3. Play the recording and check the answers with the Ss.

Work on 1e:

1. Tell Ss they'll listen to the tape again. Then try to match Vince’s activities with the days in 1d.

2. Ss listen to the recording carefully and try to match Vince’s activities with the days.

3. Play the recording again and check the answers with the class.

Step 5 Pair work

1. Work in pairs. One is Andy and the other is Vince. Andy, invite Vince to play tennis.

2. Ask Ss to practice the conversations in pairs.

Step 6 Homework

1.熟记本节所学单词与句子。

2.完成《学法大视野》练习。

以复习Grammar Focus句型及语法知识导入，加深学生的印象。本节课是一节听说课，复习时间的表达，以及做听力练习。学生们听力练习完成得较好，师生互动较多，本节课的教学效果较好。
