A Let’s try
Let’s talk
教材分析:
本课时是人教版六年级下册第三单元的第一课时,本课时包括Let’s try 和
Let’s talk 两个板块。Let’s try是听力训练,通过John应答Amy和张鹏的电话、说明自己没有上课的原因这一情景, 呈现新句型。听力的练习,提高学生的听力技巧,为进入对话学习做好准备。Let’s talk呈现了新疆吐鲁番葡萄沟、骡子的两张图片,帮助学生理解理解Turpan, mule。对话呈现的是Amy 去John的家探望受伤的John,引出句型What happened? Are you all right? 引导学生同学之间要团结友爱。然后通过John的照片分享在五一假期活动的情景,呈现重点句型Where did you go…? What did you do? 新疆是个美丽的地方,也是很多人想要了解的地方,因此学生们对于本课的对话会感兴趣,很能激发学生的求知欲望和想要用英语表达的愿望。
三、教学目标

知识目标:
1. 能够听、说、认读单词:fell off, look like, Turpan, mule, could, till 2. 能够很好的完成Let’s try。
3. 能够听、说、认读句型:What happened? Are you all right? It looks like a mule. 4. 能够在情景中恰当的运用由Where和What引导的一般过去时特殊
疑问句。
5. 能够通过对话学习了解新疆的风土人情。
6. 能够用正确的语音、语调朗读对话,并能角色表演。
7. 能够在图片和教师的帮助下理解对话大意。
8. 激发学习英语的热情,培养学生学习英语的兴趣。
(二)能力目标:
1、能够用主要句型询问他人在过去的时间里所做的事情并作答。
2、能互相谈论有关上个假期所做的事情。

(3)能能够用正确的语音、语调朗读对话。

(2)句型What happened? Are you all right? 的理解和Where did you go…? What did you do? 的灵活运用。

Step 1 Warm up
1. Greetings 2. Enjoy an English song. The Months How many months are there in a year? What are they? 3. Brainstorm.
There are twelve months in a year. And there are different holidays in different months. In January we have New Year’s Day holiday. We usually have three days off. What other holidays do you know? What do you do over your holiday? 设计意图:歌曲的运用,激发学生的学习兴趣,并为后面引出holiday 这个话题作铺垫。
Step 2Presentation and practice 1.
Over the holiday, we can go to the places we like. Right? Do you want to know my last winter holiday? What do you want to know? You can ask me questions.

S2: How did you go there? T: I went there by …
S3:Who did you go with? T: I went there with…. S4:What did you do there? T: I….
设计意图:鼓励学生大胆提问, 积极表扬善于发问的学生。并提高学生的设问能力。

T: Good. You know where I went over my last winter holiday. What about John? Where did he go? Try to guess. 3.
T: Actually, he went to Mt. Tianshan, Xinjiang and Turpan. Look! There are lots of horses , grapes and Hami melons there. But what did he do there? Look at John’s microblog and talk about John’s Labour Day holiday. S5: He rode a hose. S6: He went camping. S7: He went fishing.
4. T: John’s Labour Day holiday was great. But what happened to him last Saturday? Listen to the tape and tick or cross.
5. T: A bad news. What happened to John last Saturday? Ss: He rode a bike, fell off his bike and hurt his foot. T: Can John go to school now? Ss: No.
T: Why? Ss: …
T: So Amy visits John after school. What are they talking about? Watch the video and choose. 6. T: Yes. They are talking about both last Saturday and Labour Day
holiday. Now divide the dialogue into two parts according to the time. 7. Read part 1 and answer the following questions: (1) What happened to John last Saturday? (2) Is John all right now? 8. Read part 2 and tick or cross. (
