教材分析：

本单元以“life goals”为话题，section A主要谈论了未来的职业和打算，Section B主要谈论了新年计划。在Section B 2b阅读当中，重点中学习和运用have to do with, promise, improve等词的用法以及一些基础短语的用法。本课要求学生找到每一段的主旨大意，了解resolution的含义，种类，以及关于制定新年计划的观点。同时通过讨论学习有关新年计划的文章，让学生修订并落实自己的新年决心，并思考为实现这些理想应在哪些方面做出努力，更好的规划自己的生活。

学情分析：

学生通过Unit6 Section A 的学习，已经初步学会了有关职业的表达方式，谈论了自己与他人未来想从事的职业和原因。通过Section B 听力学习如何表达自己的新年计划，为本课2b文章的阅读提供了铺垫。

重点难点：
