能够掌握课标要求的“四会”词汇：discussion,happen,may,expect,joke 2、

学会综合运用本单元核心句型谈论喜好和表述原因。并引导学生在真实的语境中交际。

学习动词不定式作宾语的用法，并熟练掌握本部分出现的几个不定式：want to do,plan to do,expect to do,hope to do等。

四、Teaching steps：

Step 1 Revision Ask about the TV shows. Step 2 Lead-in

First ask ss what TV shows they like.And then talk about them. Step 3 Role-play the conversation.(2d) 1、Ask ss to read the conversation by themselves and answer the questions. 1)What did Sarah do in class today? 2)Does Grace like soap operas? Why? 3)What does Sarah think of soap operas? 4)Why does Sarah like news and talk shows best? 2、 ask two ss to act out the conversation. 3、make their own conversation 4、问题探究

1．plan的用法

1)制定一个计划make_a_plan 2)我们计划参观长城。We_plan_to_visit_the_Great_Wall. plan意为“计划，打算”既可以作为动词，又可以作为名词，常用的句型：计划做某事plan_to_do_sth.。

2．hope的用法

1)我希望你能很快好起来。I_hope_you_can_get_well_soon.

2)我希望能很快见到你。I_hope_to_see_you_soon. hope意为“希望”，经常用到的句型为：希望做某事hope_to_do_sth.；hope后面还可以跟宾语从句，但是不能接双宾语。

3．expect的用法

1)我期待着明天去北京。

We_expect_to_go_to_Beijing_tomorrow. 2)我期待你能和我一起去北京。

I_expect_you_to_go_to_Beijing_with_me. 3)我期待你能通过考试。

I_expect_that_you_can_pass_the_test. expect意为“期待、盼望、预期”，其句型是：期待做某事expect_to_do_sth.；期待某人做某事expect_sb.to_do_sth.；此外expect后面还可以跟宾语从句。

4．happen的用法

1)这个故事发生在2003年。This_story_happened_in_2003. 2)你怎么啦？What_happened_to_you? 3)昨天我在街上碰巧遇到了我的一个朋友。

I_happened_to_meet_a_friend_of_mine_in_the_street_yesterday.

表示“某地(某时)发生了什么事”，常用happen_in/at_sp.这一结构来表达，此时主语应是事情。

表示“某人出了某事(常指不好的事)”，要用“sth.＋

happen＋to sb.”这一结构来表达。

表示“某人碰巧做某事”，要用“sb.＋happen＋to_do sth.”这一结构来表达。

Step 6 Pair work (3b) (1)

First,ask some of the ss to say sentences using the giving words (2)

Second,ask others to answer. (3)

Then ask each of the ss to write questions.Then ask and answer with a partner.One asks,the other answers,and then ask them to give a report. 【This step helps to train the usages of the present tense.】

Step 7 Survey The teacher first ask ss questions: T:Do you want to watch a movie? Do you hope to watch a sicom? Do you except to watch the news? Do you plan to watch a sports show? Some ss would say like this:Yes,I do.\No,I don’t.

Make the survey:Ask your classmates questions and write their names in the chart.

Step 8．Practice. 1、连词成句。
