本句中To make this special food是动词不定式短语,在句中作目的状语,动词不定式作目的状语通常放在句子后面,如果放前面,应用逗号隔开。

It’s time to do sth.和It’s time for sth.都表示“该到……时候了”,to是不定式符号,故后要接动词原形,for是介词,故其后要接名词。

=It’s time for supper.到吃晚饭的时候了。

【拓展】

表示“该到某人做某事的时候了”时,在不定式前面加上for sb.就可以了,其中sb.为逻辑主语。

It’s time for us to have a rest.我们该休息一下了。
