Step 1: Lead-in 1. Daily greetings:

How are you? How was your weekend? Did you watch TV on weekends? Do you still remember the names of TV shows in our last lesson?

2. Review the names of TV shows Stand up and Speak Out! 3. Review the sentence structure:

-What do you think of …?

-I like/love … / I don’t like …/ I can’t stand …/ I don’t mind …/ I think they are/it is …

Step 2: 2d 1.

Ask Ss to listen to the conversation about Grace’s and Sarah’s ideas of TV shows and answer the questions: a. What is the class discussion about? b. What TV shows do you hear? (circle)

Ask Ss to read the conversation and answer the detailed questions: a. What are Grace’s favorite TV shows? Why? b. What are Sarah’s favorite TV shows? Why? (expect to do sth.; hope to do sth.; plan to do sth.)

Ask Ss to listen and repeat one sentence by sentence.

4.

Ask Ss to role play the conversation with their partner.

Step 3: Making conversations

Tell Ss to watch something good and don’t watch too much. All work and no play makes Jack a dull boy.

Ask Ss to do five exercises which include the grammar they have learnt in class. 2.

Listen and imitate the conversation in 2d. 2.

Read and remember the sentences in Grammar Focus.

Level B: 3.

Listen and recite（背诵）the conversation in 2d. 4.

Polish（润色）your report and hand in tomorrow. encourage them to use what they have learnt in real life.

The guideline includes the grammar structures Ss have learnt and give Ss space to imagine as well. At the same time, the last two sentences are to educate Ss to watch wisely.

The writing part is to train Ss’ writing ability.

The exercises are to help Ss consolidate their grammar.

The homework is to help Ss consolidate what they have learnt in class. According to different levels of different students, Level A is for those lower leveled students while level B is for those higher leveled students.
