1教学内容
本课内容是讲述Li Ming和他家人的人物特点,介绍他们的年龄,身高,长相。本课中,学生能听懂、会说和认读white、hair、black、uncle、aunt、cousin、thin七个单词。通过学习学生会描述自己的家人。
2教学目标
1.知识与技能目标
(1)学生能听懂、会说和认读white、hair、black、uncle、aunt、cousin、thin七个单词。
(2)学生能认读、理解并使用下列句式-- What do they look like?-- He/She has________(hair/eyes). He/She is ________(short/tall/thin)。
2.情感态度目标
(1)学生能体会到英语学习的乐趣。
(2)关注每一名学生的情感,努力营造宽松、民主、和谐的教学氛围,保持学生英语学习的动力。
3重点难点
(1).帮助学生理解运用white、hair、black、uncle、aunt、cousin、thin七个单词。
(2)学生能运用本课内容流利地描述卡通人物和同学的特征。

Step1:Warming—up
&
Revision(热身和复习)(2minites)
(1)用PPT展示
Li Ming’s family tree.复习Lesson1 (2)Sing a song “Happy Family” to review the family members.
T: Do you like this song?
Look! The father is ______. The mother is _______. (呈现歌曲中爸爸妈妈的图片) (设计意图:通过歌曲,复习旧知,让学生快速融入本节课的学习情境中,激发学生学习本课的兴趣,为后面的教学铺垫。)
Step2:Presentation(新授)(23minites) (1). Introduce the new sentences.(3minites)
Look at a cartoon picture of Father and mother and talk about them. T:Look ! Who is he?
Is he tall or short? S: He is tall. T: Is he fat or thin? Ss: He is thin. T: Right. He is tall. He is fat. (板书

T: What color is his hair? Ss: His hair is black. T: Is it long or short? Ss: It’s short. . T: What color are his eyes? Ss: His eyes are black. T: Good job, He has black hair, he has black eyes. (板书

T:What’s the meaning
of “look like”? Can you guess? Ss:看起来像,看起来长什么样
板书look like,领读、跟读,让学生猜测词义, 将句子补全:
What do they look like? 并翻译。
(设计意图:教师通过动画片人物小头爸爸的形象,依次呈现本课的重点内容。) (2). Practice (5minites) Put up the picture of the mother and the picture of the son, ask some volunteers to describe the mother and the son. T: What does she look like? S1: She has black hair.(描述小头儿子的妈妈形象)
S2: She is short T: What does the son look like? S3: He has short hair. S4: He has black eyes S5: He is short. (设计意图:学生通过对大头儿子的妈妈和大头儿子的描述,师生互动,激发学生的语言思维,教师很自然地引出新词语,注入新的语言表达,学生易于接受。)
(3)Introduce the text(课文呈现)(15 minutes) Listen to the text and do the exercise. T: I have another family picture. Who are they? What do they look like?
Let’s listen to the tape. (第一遍课文播放,然后fill in the blanks) T: Who are they? Ss: They are Li Ming’s family.
T:(出示PPT)I can’t find the answers ,so can you help me to fill in the blanks? Ss: Yes. a. My grandfather is ________ years old. He has ______ hair. b. My ____, aunt and my cousin Jing have black hair and black ____, too. c. My father is ____.My mother is_____. Check the answers one by one T: Now, Open your books, turn to page 4 try to imitate, OK? (第二遍课文播放,模仿跟读)
Ss: OK! T: What do they look like? Can you find the answers? Try to ask and answer with your partner. (出示PPT) What color is Li Ming’s hair? Is Li Ming’s mother tall? What does Uncle Da chao look like? How old is Li Ming’s grandmother?

(设计意图:学生通过听音填空帮助学生提取课文主要信息;通过跟读模仿练习学生发音,通过回答问题检查学生对课文的理解和掌握情
况,最后通读课文。)
Step3:Consolidation, extension &
using(巩固、延伸、运用)(14minites) T: Now Do you want to relax yourselves? Let’s chant together!
(1)Let’s chant! (5minites) What do they look like? White hair, black hair. What do they look like? Long hair, short hair. What do they look like? Black eyes, blue eyes. What do they look like? Tall or short, fat or thin. (设计意图:这首由教师自编的chant,韵感强、节奏轻快、受到孩子的喜爱,很好地操练并巩固了本课的教学重点, 突破了难点.)
(2)Work in fours, talk about your picture. (8minites) (设计意图:学生分组讨论教师所分发的图片,再次操练本课重难点,小组合作,增强学生合作意识,激发学生创造力。)
(3)Find out the right person. (1minites) 大屏幕呈现几张人物图片,学生看几秒钟,然后根据描述猜测人物。
(设计意图:通过“Guessing Game”活跃课堂气氛,将本节课的内容推向高潮.)
Step 4:Homework
(1minite):
1. Open your books and do exercise 2. Check their answers together. 2. Write some sentences to describe a classmate, and let the others to guess.
